If you woke up this morning with pain in your chest—not the physical kind, but the emotional kind that feels like heartbreak—or if you’ve been going through a significant, painful experience and know you’re holding onto a lot of sadness, this practice is for you. We often carry emotions like sadness in our hearts far longer than we should, as we keep revisiting the memory or the emotion over and over again. It’s just human nature to hold on to this pain and these feelings for as long as we can. But in reality, emotions are meant to be in motion—they should be moving. So, once we've taken the time to truly feel it, we must let it go. Practice this meditation anytime you feel the need to deeply feel, and let go of heavier emotions.

If you woke up this morning and found yourself having pain in your chest,

Not the physical type of pain but the emotional kind,

The kind of pain that feels like heartbreak,

Or you've been going through a significant painful experience lately and you just know you've been holding on to a lot of sadness while this practice is for you.

We often tend to carry emotions like sadness in our hearts for longer than we should as we keep revisiting the memory or emotion over and over again.

That's just the nature of human beings,

Right?

We tend to hold on to this pain and these emotions for as long as we possibly can.

And in reality,

Most emotions are in motion,

They should be moving.

So as soon as we've taken the time to feel it,

We must let it go.

So that's what today's practice is all about.

This energy cleanse meditation is about letting the body express the emotion however it needs,

And we're clearing that stuff out of our system and replenishing with high vibe energy.

So get comfortable,

Gently close your eyes if they weren't closed already,

Or you can keep them open with a soft gaze.

Roll your shoulders back,

And let's have our palms facing up if possible.

As you take a deep breath in through your nose,

Fill up your lungs,

Feeling the chest expand,

Hold here.

And a deep exhale out.

Another one,

Deep breath in,

Hold here.

And exhale out through the mouth.

Good.

Now letting the music gently calm your mind,

Easing tension in the shoulders,

Upper back,

Release.

Now bring your awareness to your heart.

Sometimes just a simple act of bringing awareness to the heart may feel emotional and that's okay.

Feel your heart.

Perhaps you can feel your heartbeat,

Or simply feeling the breath as it flows in and out.

Just like the gentle motion of a wave would.

Some emotions might start to bubble up.

Notice if there's a lump in your throat,

Or if you feel tears wanting to emerge.

Breathe into it,

That's okay.

Let it all out.

Keep breathing into it for the next minute or so.

Now with your next inhale,

Feel the air coming in through your nostrils and imagining the air forming a tiny tornado as it surrounds your heart.

The tiny tornado is now enveloping your heart and very slowly circling in an anti-clockwise motion around your heart.

As it gently attracts all the debris,

Heartache,

Pain,

Stickiness,

Sadness,

Stories,

Heavy memories,

It pulls everything down.

As it keeps pulling and pulling whatever has been sticking to your heart,

It slowly starts to dissipate into the ground.

Take a deep breath in,

And as you exhale out,

The tiny tornado is now fully dissipating and disintegrating down,

Down,

Down into the ground,

Leaving you feeling lighter.

Now imagine getting showered with light.

The light is a pastel pink color,

Streams of light pink are pouring through the crown of your head and finding its way to your heart.

This light pink color is filling up your heart with warmth,

Lightness,

Kindness and love.

Your heart is now filled and protected in this light pink color,

Beating slowly in it.

Good.

Now let's take a deep breath in through your nose.

As we slowly start to wake up the body from this experience,

We can slowly start to move the toes,

Moving the fingers.

As you start to bring your awareness back to the room,

Take your time.

And when you're ready,

Gently opening the eyes.
