This Rhyme recording is for flying.
Wherever you are right now,
Whether you're about to board,
You're already seated,
Or you're somewhere in between the clouds,
Just know you can do this.
Close your eyes if that feels okay,
Or soften your gaze downward.
Whatever helps you turn your attention inward.
And just arrive here,
In your body,
In this moment.
Let's start with one breath together.
Breathe in slowly through the nose,
And breathe out through the mouth.
Let it go.
That breath was yours.
Completely yours.
No one can take it from you.
Nothing around you changes that.
The seat,
The sounds,
The air,
The altitude,
None of it touches this.
Your breath is always here,
Always available,
And always on your side.
Now let's get curious about your body.
Feel the weight of you in your seat.
You're back against the chair,
Your legs resting,
Your feet on the floor.
You are held right now,
In this moment.
You are physically held.
Take another breath in.
Let your belly soften as the air arrives.
And a breath out.
Nice and slow.
And again,
Take a breath in.
And like you're breathing out through a straw,
Breathe out the air.
And that slow exhale is your nervous system's off switch.
Every time you make the exhale longer than the inhale,
You send signals straight to your brain that says,
It's okay,
We are safe.
So let's do that again.
You're going to breathe in for 4,
3,
2,
1.
And breathe out 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Breathe in 4,
3,
2,
1.
And breathe out for 6,
Slow it down,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Now I want you to feel the space inside your body.
Keep breathing.
Focus on this space inside your body.
Not the space around you,
The space in you.
Your lungs right now are expanding,
Creating room.
There is more space inside you than you realize.
Feel your ribcage widen on the inhale like wings opening.
Feel it release on the exhale gently without effort.
Your chest has room.
Your belly has room.
Your whole torso is living,
Breathing,
And spacious.
You have all the space you need.
It travels with you.
It is you.
Breathe in and feel that space open.
Breathe out and let it be enough.
Now,
If your mind is busy,
If it's scanning,
Checking,
Predicting,
Projecting,
That's okay.
That is just your nervous system doing its job.
It's trying to protect you.
You don't need to fight it.
You don't need to think your way out of it.
You just need to come back.
Come back to the breath.
Come back to my voice.
Come back to your body.
Come back to your breath.
Come back to my voice.
Come back to your body.
Feel your belly rise.
Your lungs expand.
Feel your belly fall.
Your shoulders relaxed.
Just focusing on influencing your breath.
You are not in control of the plane.
You are not in control of the turbulence.
You don't need to be.
You are not in control of the weather and the altitude.
And you don't need to be.
But this breath is always yours.
And that's enough.
And that has always been enough.
Keep breathing.
In through your nose.
Long and easy.
With a little circle with your lips,
With your mouth.
Blow the air out.
Slow and long.
Even longer than your inhale.
Now feel your hands.
Maybe they're resting on your thighs.
Feel the weight of your arms.
Heavy and relaxed.
Feel your jaw.
Is there anything you're holding there in your mouth?
Just let it soften.
Your tongue.
Let it drop from the roof of your mouth.
Your eyes.
Soft behind your eyelids.
Feel the light coming in through your closed eyelids.
Feel that you're a body in motion,
Moving through the sky.
And inside that body,
There is stillness.
There is breath.
There is you.
Whenever you feel any anxiety arising,
As it may,
That's okay.
You know what to do now.
Come back to the exhale.
Make it long.
Make it slow.
Feel the space in your chest,
In your lungs.
Open and soft.
Feel the space inside your body,
Inside your mind.
And feel your seat grounded.
Your feet grounded.
And remember,
You only have to be in charge of one thing.
The next breath.
Just the next breath.
That is the practice.
It is always the practice.
The next breath.
And the next breath.
Stay with your body.
Stay with your breath.
Feel the space inside your body.
You only have to be in charge of one thing.
The next breath.
Just the next breath.
You've got this.
Keep breathing.
Stay with it.
And whenever you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes.
Keep listening to this music.
Keep focusing on your breath.
Feel free to stay in it.
Stay with your breath or replay this recording as many times as you need to support yourself in this moment.
Thank you for listening.
