Our "Havingness" is our subconscious expectation that defines how much we have in different areas of life. The meditation will help you increase your "Having Level" and create a more abundant reality.

We each have a certain subconscious expectation of how much we are to have when it comes to different areas of life.

Love,

Money,

Respect,

Comfort,

And so on.

Some call this one's havingness or one's having level.

When we fall below this level,

It stirs up our creative energies to bring us back up to comfortable.

But also when we surpass this level,

When we go beyond our subconscious expectations,

There can be a tendency to self-sabotage and bring ourselves back down.

This meditation will help you increase your having level when it comes to money.

If you have had self-sabotaging behaviors around money,

Or if you simply have found yourself locked at a certain level of wealth for a long time,

This process will help you alleviate these subconscious feelings that may have been holding you back.

Find a comfortable position,

And please close your eyes.

Breathe only through your nose,

And see if you can allow your breath to become a little more gentle and a little more relaxed.

Maybe you can extend your exhalations a little bit longer without using any strain.

As you do this,

Simply observe your breathing for a few more breaths to allow yourself to calm,

To allow yourself to become more relaxed,

So that we can more easily speak to your subconscious.

You can scan your body starting from the crown of your head,

Moving down slowly with your attention,

Simply scanning to see if there's anywhere carrying tension,

And allowing it to let go,

Scanning through your face,

Allowing your face to relax through your neck,

Noticing your shoulders and your arms,

Forearms and hands,

Continuing to breathe gently and easily through your nose as you scan your upper body,

Your back,

Your chest,

Allowing yourself to relax,

Scanning your body,

Checking your belly for any tension.

And if you find any part of your body that's particularly carrying tension,

Just observe it.

We'll be monitoring changes in your body as we visualize different scenarios.

Bring your attention through your pelvis and your hips,

Observing your thighs,

Your upper legs,

Bringing your attention to your calves,

And finally your feet.

Once again,

Look over your body with your mind's eye and notice the general level of tension.

Also,

You can scan what we could call your energetic body,

Your feelings that aren't directly related to physical,

And notice if there's anything there of note,

Any tension or fear or what we might call anxiety,

And just like tension in a muscle,

Simply observe it.

Breathe.

Your primal subconscious,

Your animal consciousness,

Doesn't understand money,

It doesn't understand wealth or bank accounts or future purchases or expenses.

This part of your subconscious only understands survival.

And through millions of years of evolution prior to human rational consciousness,

It has been programmed to believe that what's familiar is safe and what is new or unknown is dangerous.

If you have been stuck at a certain having level when it comes to money for a long time,

It's possible that your more primal self has been trying to keep you at a familiar level of wealth,

Making some part of you contract when you have an opportunity to expand,

Perhaps giving you feelings that lead to self-sabotage.

We will now go through a process of exposing your consciousness to different possibilities and finding and releasing any points of contraction in your being.

If you've ever received a massage or body work where tight muscles were released through pressure,

We're going to do something similar,

Only instead of physical pressure,

We're going to use your attention.

And although some tension might be in your physical body,

We're also going to address your energetic body.

Make sure you're still breathing gently and easily,

Extending your exhalations as long as comfortable.

And right now,

Think about how much money you have.

Perhaps you want to think of a number.

Whatever the number is in whatever currency,

Think about your current level of wealth.

If you're not sure of an exact number,

You can guess,

Or you can simply notice the feeling that arises when you think of your current level of wealth.

Notice how your body feels when you think of your current amount of money.

Notice anything in your being.

Did anything change when you started to think of your amount of money?

And if you notice anything in your being that doesn't feel so good,

Please give it some extra attention.

Focus your attention on those spots.

And keep your attention gentle,

Just like a gentle massage.

Allow your attention to be focused,

To be firm,

But to still be gentle.

If you don't notice anything in you that is contracted or tense or tight,

You can instead imagine that there is something keeping your wealth at this level.

You can imagine it like a contracted muscle and put your attention on that.

Imagine pressing this sore spot,

Because it might be uncomfortable,

And holding it until the tension releases.

If you have any fears around money or any ill feelings when it comes to your current level of wealth,

It might not necessarily feel good to touch it.

It might not feel good to put your attention on it.

But just like massaging a sore muscle or a tender spot,

You know that some gentle yet firm pressure will make you feel better soon.

Imagine pressing this spot,

Keeping your attention on it,

Feeling it fully,

Feeling the discomfort as much as you can,

Or feeling any sensation related to the thought of your current financial situation.

Breathe into these spots.

The goal is the feeling of expansion,

Where you can think of your money and feel fully open.

Continue to breathe,

Notice your feelings,

And erase the thought from your mind.

Now think about an amount of money that you would feel comfortable giving to someone.

You can think of an amount,

You can think of a number that it wouldn't worry you to give away.

It's an amount that's small enough that if you knew someone needed it,

You would feel totally fine taking it out of your pocket and giving it to them.

It wouldn't concern you at all.

Think about giving someone,

Giving away this amount of money,

And notice what you feel.

Notice if you feel anything at all.

Now continue to breathe and increase that number in your mind.

Again,

Think of giving that amount away.

Notice how that feels.

You can increase the amount again,

Maybe doubling that amount.

And imagine just pulling it out of your pocket and giving it to a stranger.

Notice how that feels.

And increase that number a little more and a little more until you find an amount,

Some amount of money that would not feel so good to part with.

You can imagine different numbers and increase it until you think about pulling it out of your pocket and giving it to someone and it doesn't feel so good.

This would be an amount of money that if it were stolen or lost,

You'd be concerned.

It's an amount of money that would not be easy to shrug off.

It's an amount of money that might trigger some survival fear.

This is one way to estimate your having level and noticing how it might change.

You can ask yourself,

At what amount of money would I start to feel something if I lost it?

Find that number in whatever currency is meaningful to you.

And think about losing that amount of money or having it stolen.

Scan your body and notice what that feels like,

Having that amount of money taken from you.

Address the tension you might feel.

And once again,

Gently press any tension,

Any points of not feeling good with your attention.

Breathe into these feelings of discomfort and notice if it changes at all.

Notice if it eases up at all.

Like massaging out a tense muscle,

Let's see if we can show your subconscious that it does not need to contract against the sensation.

It does not need to stop the flow of energy,

For fearful contractions not only grip on,

But they tend to block new wealth from coming in.

Again,

Think of this amount of money that would hurt to lose,

An amount of money that would trigger a survival fear.

And continue to feel the feeling of losing this amount of money.

Breathe into the feeling.

If you notice any parts of your physical body tighten up when you think of this,

Breathe into those spots.

Or maybe it's a not so physical feeling,

But an energetic contraction.

Do your best to breathe into that as well.

As you breathe into the tension,

You can imagine greater circulation,

Your circulation improving to this area.

You can visualize energy flowing where it was not before.

Breathe as you hold this area with your attention and seeing if you can relax while thinking of losing money.

Can you relax and remain calm and disable the survival fear as you consider the possibility of losing this larger amount of money?

Continue visualizing it while doing your best to feel the sensations that come with it.

By doing this,

You are telling your unconscious that it does not have to contract.

There is an unlimited supply that will replenish any loss as long as your being remains open.

Therefore,

There's no reason to worry.

There's no reason to resist.

There's no reason to contract.

Continue breathing into the sensation and again simply notice if anything has changed.

If you find the tension has reduced or released,

You can increase the amount of money.

Imagine losing an even bigger sum and doing the same process.

If not,

Stay with the previous amount and keep breathing.

Give yourself time to release any tension.

As you breathe,

You can become more and more relaxed and as you become more relaxed,

You teach your subconscious that there is nothing to fear.

In fact,

The sensations that come with money can feel good.

Take one last moment to breathe into the fear of loss.

Wherever you are right now is fine and let it go.

You can take a deep breath in and let it out with a sigh if you'd like.

Now we can work on the upside.

Think of receiving a very small amount of money.

An amount so small that it wouldn't make any difference in your life at all.

Notice if you feel anything.

Notice if you don't feel anything.

Now imagine receiving a little more and then a little more,

Increasing this number slowly and noticing at what point do you feel something.

At what point do you feel maybe some excitement of receiving a certain number,

A certain amount of money.

Continually increase this number until you start to feel something that you are sure is excitement,

Where if you were to be given this amount of money unexpectedly,

You would feel really good.

This is another way to estimate your having level to the upside.

You can ask yourself,

What amount of money would feel exciting to receive,

Win,

Or earn unexpectedly.

It has to be an amount that would be meaningful to you while also feeling realistic.

If you're using numbers,

You can compare this excitement number with the fear number from before.

And simply notice,

Is the fear number bigger or is the excitement number bigger or are they about the same.

Continue thinking about receiving this number of money.

Notice the sensations.

And in the same way we dealt with fear,

See if you can press your attention into any point of view that is feeling something in particular.

Put your attention on anything in your being that is feeling something when thinking about receiving this amount of money.

People tend to contract in response to good events as much as bad ones.

To your primal subconscious,

All feelings are just feelings.

Sensation is just sensation.

And too much sensation can mean something is going to change.

And that worries your primal self.

So it may contract against winning as much as losing.

It may resist receiving too much as much as it resists losing too much.

Sometimes receiving a lot,

A new level of wealth,

Can trigger feelings of guilt or shame.

Sometimes receiving a lot causes people to check out because it doesn't feel real to them.

So we're going to try to ground the feelings of receiving bigger and bigger quantities.

Think about receiving twice as much as the number you landed on before.

Notice if that feels exciting.

Notice if you believe that it is possible,

If it feels realistic to receive that amount all at once.

You know your body believes something is possible when you can still feel it.

Can you visualize receiving double the sum of money?

And can you feel anything when you think of receiving it?

If you can feel something,

What does it feel like?

Does it feel good?

Does it bring fears with it?

Or does it feel numb?

Is there some part of you that thinks it's not possible or not real?

You can keep increasing the number just to see how you react.

You can think about receiving ten times as much money.

Does that feel exciting?

Or does that feel numb?

Does it feel possible?

At what amount of money does it switch from feeling exciting to feeling not so exciting?

Find the amount of money where the thought of receiving it all at once just begins to feel less exciting or feel unreal or uncomfortable or somehow not as good as it should.

You know you've found the right number when it doesn't feel as exciting to receive.

If you go higher than that number,

You might even notice some contraction in your being.

Or more likely,

You just don't feel anything at all.

Go to the point where the excitement just begins to fade away and feel that sensation.

Breathe into it as we did with the fear of loss.

Put your firm but gentle attention in it.

Hold it in your mind,

Giving it a chance to feel more.

One of the reasons we might fear having too much or receiving too much is that we then would have more to lose.

The possibility of losing a huge sum can trigger subconscious fears that make us get rid of having too much money unconsciously or prevent us from receiving that amount.

So simply hold this in your attention,

Hold this with your attention,

To tell this part of your being that it doesn't need to contract.

We know that you can deal with fear of loss.

Therefore,

Receiving larger amounts is okay.

Receiving a greater amount of money than you ever had before can feel really good.

It can also feel very normal.

And you can feel that you for sure deserve it.

Think about receiving that larger amount of money,

Perhaps an amount of money greater than you've ever received in one shot before.

Think about receiving that amount of money on a regular basis.

Think about it coming in multiple times,

Coming in so often that it feels normal.

If you'd like,

You can imagine your bank account increasing by this increment day after day.

Notice the sensations in your body.

Observe,

Feel,

And breathe,

And see if you can maintain some feeling of excitement,

Some good feelings that come with this amount of money coming in.

See if you can feel that you deserve it,

That it is normal,

That it is not too good to be true.

Breathe.

Now think about this money all of a sudden no longer coming in.

Think about the flow of money stopping,

And notice how that feels.

Observe and breathe.

Notice if anything within you changed,

If anything within you contracted.

Now visualize turning on the flow of money again.

See it coming in and padding your bank account.

Feel and breathe.

Visualize turning it off again.

Noticing what that feels like.

Maybe even noticing it leaving your bank account at the same rate without being replenished.

Notice how that feels,

And breathe.

And one last time,

Turn it on again.

Visualize the flow of money coming to you.

This amount larger than any amount you've received before.

Visualize your wealth increasing and increasing to an amount that's significantly higher than the amount of money that you have right now.

Can you enjoy this feeling?

Can you enjoy this feeling without the fear of loss?

You know your havingness has surpassed a certain level when the thought of receiving that amount can feel good,

But the thought of losing it doesn't worry you.

That's when you know you are no longer attached to a certain number.

That's when you know you can grow into the next level without triggering primal survival fears,

Without getting in your own way,

Without self-sabotage or checking out.

Scan your body again and notice what you feel.

Breathe.

Now of course,

We can all strive to see the infinite abundance in all things at all times.

We can all strive to feel joy and excitement of increase without the fear of loss.

And we know that a part of ourselves is a time-bound material being that carries certain fears and limitations.

Through this practice of releasing tension,

We can retrain ourselves to experience and allow more wealth,

More security,

And more happiness than we've had before.

As we bring this meditation to a close,

Remember that increasing your havingness is a practice,

As your current level of havingness was conditioned into you by past events.

Your new,

Greater having level must be reconditioned.

Take the practice of this meditation into the rest of your day and the rest of your life.

Any time fears around money come up,

Use it as an opportunity to release tension.

Any time excitement regarding money comes up,

Also use this as an opportunity to feel and release.

And you could always come back to this meditation to practice increasing your havingness again.

One last time,

Take a deep breath in and release.

Thank yourself for taking this moment to increase your havingness.

Enjoy this moment as you allow yourself to enjoy your ever-increasing life.
