Before I share today's phrase,
Let's center ourselves.
Bring yourself into this moment with a deep inhale,
Drawing in joy that you are claiming this moment for yourself.
As you exhale,
Release whatever you are carrying that is not serving you right now.
Inhale joy again,
And allow that joy to expand and encompass your body,
The way the air expands your lungs.
And as you exhale,
Imagine that whatever isn't serving you right now,
Just floats up and out of your body.
You can always pick it up again later.
Today's affirmation is,
I am surrendering.
I am surrendering.
Sometimes we fixate on where we think we should be,
That we miss the opportunities where we are.
I am surrendering.
Contemplating the dandelion is marvelous for understanding surrender.
Robust dandelion plants can grow in the cracks of sidewalk as well as in a yard.
The dandelion doesn't give up because it has found itself on sidewalk.
It persists,
And in doing so,
Provides food for pollinators and medicine for those who know how to use it.
It blooms where it's planted.
I am surrendering.
How can you surrender?
How can you bloom where you are planted?
I am surrendering.
I am surrendering.
Until next time.
