Hello and welcome to our final recording of the five essential keys to emotional eating.

This is Ruthie Cohen,

Joiner with your tapping journey.

Com.

And this is where we question all the beliefs we've held for our whole lives.

The belief that we're not good enough and that the mistakes that we've made aren't forgivable.

And those who have wronged us can never be forgiven.

We're going to take a brief look at the shame and blame that we've carried in our hearts,

Bodies and minds for all these years with fresh eyes.

Today we are going to use what I call the belief cloak process to start letting go of the victim story.

We've all had bad things happen in our lives,

Mistakes we've made and bad things that have happened to us.

All of the pain of the past needs to be acknowledged,

Heard and healed.

And I really want you to hear me on this.

I honor you and I honor your story and I believe it may need to be told to be released and healed.

However,

I want you to consider stopping giving the past your power.

Stop telling the same stories over and over and over.

Let go of being a victim.

Learn from it and release it to the past with love.

Now is the time to create a powerful new story,

A story of overcoming the past instead of letting it define you in the present.

So join me now in what I call the belief cloak process.

This is a little meditation we're going to do.

So if you're in a safe place to do so,

Please get into a comfortable position.

Close your eyes.

And bring your attention and your attention,

Your intention and attention into your heart space and start slowing your breathing.

And just notice your breath.

Now I want you to imagine that you're standing near a beautiful campfire in the woods with the dancing flames of blue and red and purple.

This is a powerful healing fire that includes the divine healing power of the violet flame.

Just watch the flames for a moment in your mind's eye.

Let them comfort and mesmerize you.

Now notice that you have a divine helper standing there with you,

Ready to help you in your healing process.

Notice what your divine healer looks like.

And especially notice how gentle they're in loving their face looks.

Now notice what you are wearing.

That you are wearing an old tattered,

Dark,

Heavy cloak of old stories and beliefs filled with the pain and the shame and blame of the past.

This cloak is holding you down and drowning you in old feelings of unworthiness,

Not good enoughness,

Victimhood,

And even hopelessness and helplessness.

This cloak feels very familiar and comfortable in some ways,

And yet it has outlived its purpose,

Its usefulness.

It is time to release and let it go with love and gratitude for how it has served you in the past.

Ask your divine helper to help you take it off and throw it into the transformational fire.

Allow this to happen now.

Now imagine that a new cloak of loving protection filled with power and gifts and talents and dreams and purpose and divine love is forming out of the ashes of the past.

Look at how beautiful your new cloak is.

Now allow your divine helper to assist you in putting your new cloak on.

Notice how light it feels.

Notice how empowering it is.

And notice how you stand straighter and more confident with this new cloak.

You are creating this new way of being right now.

Bask in it,

Bathe in it,

Dance in this new power.

Let it become a part of you.

Now thank your divine helper and the violet flame for allowing you to release and let go of the past and create this new way of being.

And now slowly and gently allow yourself to come back to the here and now feeling refreshed and renewed and revitalized.

Allowing this new way of being to truly become a part of you.

Well I want to thank you so much for going with me on this six part journey into learning about the five essential keys to ending emotional eating.

So a quick review,

The five keys are mothering yourself or learning to soothing comfort yourself,

Expressing yourself,

Asserting yourself and learning to tell the truth,

Finding your truth,

Your voice,

Learning to love and accept yourself and letting go of the old story,

The victim story and creating a powerful new story.

I believe these are all essential for ending emotional eating and becoming the person you are truly meant to be.
