Welcome again.
Beauty in life that shows so beautifully when we as these human vehicles are able to not want anything from anything.
Such a beautiful space opens up when this becomes clear that it's possible to not want anything from anything.
Since we're constantly grasping for the next beautiful experience or even unconsciously trying to manipulate life,
Not wanting life to be as it is.
Maybe you can check in for yourself how much of your day is focused on wanting something to be different.
From waking up in the morning,
Going into your day.
I want this,
I want that.
Why can this not be different?
Why does it have to be this way?
And sure,
It's okay to long for something,
Of course.
But how would it be to notice the habit of wanting things to be different constantly,
Constantly?
Not being at ease with how life is showing up,
In a way.
Such a great habit for us beings to not notice the perfection of life.
Arguing with life.
Constantly arguing.
Can you see this?
Without judging this.
Also noticing that this is also a beautiful expression of life.
It almost like life is kind of arguing through us,
To show us that it's possible to stop arguing.
And what if we would stop arguing?
How would it be for you to not want life to be different as it shows itself to be?
How would that be?
Moment to moment noticing the perfection of life.
Say you're grieving a lot.
Noticing that this grief is okay.
Noticing that life isn't asking to grieve for a little while and to then move on.
Maybe this grief can show you that grief is also a perfect expression of life.
Maybe life can show you that grief might be there until your last breath.
And might this be a perfect expression?
Might this be how it should be?
And this is where the illusion of time is so palpable.
We want things to be over.
And although this seems to be also very logical,
There's a great opportunity to notice this moment to moment,
The habit of wanting things to be different.
Are we able to embrace the way life is kind of showing up for us?
And are we able to notice the habit of not wanting things to be as they are?
Are we able to notice this moment to moment?
We can.
And a little practice,
Or maybe a lot of practice,
Seems to be very beneficial.
Wanting things to be out of the way seems to be a way to not notice life fully.
To hide from life.
As soon as we're busy thinking,
I don't want this,
I want this to be different.
I want this,
I want this.
If I don't get this,
I'm not going to be fulfilled or happy.
As soon as this is happening,
As soon as we're caught up in thinking,
One could say we're not really noticing life.
Noticing that we are,
That something before the next thought or emotion seems to arise.
Not noticing that something already is.
Which is totally okay.
And simultaneously it's so beautiful to notice this.
This is-ness.
This non-personal is-ness.
As if stepping away from this identified person.
Opening up to what we could call truth.
Ah,
Suddenly noticing.
No thinking,
No interpretations,
No opinions whatsoever.
A short moment.
Ah,
Noticing.
Noticing before thought.
Beyond all that.
Seems to be very peaceful there.
Although it's not a there.
It's just,
Ah.
Nothing that interprets anything.
So yes,
How would it be to notice that life already is.
Kind of perfectly fine.
As all these experiences seem to arise,
Something is untouched.
Not moving at all.
So beautiful when this human vehicle is noticing this moment to moment.
Ah,
Deeply able to rest.
Deeply able to notice that it's okay to not manipulate anything.
To not want anything to be different.
But I want this to be different.
I can't bear this.
Sure,
That's okay as well.
Some situations in life are or seem to be unbearable.
And to the best of our ability we can rest with these situations.
We can fight against it as well.
Which is also a perfect expression of life.
But what's being suggested here is to see if it's beneficial for you to rest instead of fight.
To see what happens if you are kind of automatically able to be soft for a short moment.
Embracing the soft nature of all.
Also in very challenging situations this can be so helpful.
To notice that softness is already and always available within all circumstances.
And it might not be noticed or you as this human vehicle might not be able to notice it within the situation immediately.
Although this is also possible.
But if it's not happening,
Seemingly happening that way,
There's always a moment in which the intense moment is slightly less intense.
And when it's slightly less intense maybe because of listening to this message over and over again,
Suddenly a reminder pops up again to soften.
To be still and to notice the silence in that moment.
Resting.
Noticing that you are.
That something is keeping you alive.
Showing you that it wants you to live.
This benevolent force that keeps showing you that breath is coming in and out.
Noticing the breath coming in through the nose,
Through the chest,
Into the abdomen.
Noticing the sensations.
Back again from the abdomen,
Through the chest,
Out through the nose.
Maybe in that moment you are able to put things down.
Breathing in,
As many Buddhist teachings suggest so beautifully.
Breathing in,
May I be well.
Breathing out,
May I be happy.
Breathing in,
May I be well.
Breathing out,
May I be happy.
And another beautiful moment to notice the warmth in your heart.
Breathing in,
May I be well.
Breathing out,
May I be happy.
Noticing that you are.
That something wants you to experience this life in exactly the way you are experiencing it now.
And when it comes to pain,
Like physical pain,
Unbearable physical pain.
If it truly seems to be undoable,
It can be very helpful to be with somebody that is there for you.
Holding the space for you.
Not judging you.
Breathing with you.
And although this might not take away the physical pain,
This still might be of great benefit.
And also when you feel totally confused,
Also then it can be so beautiful to find somebody that can help you.
Any help is welcome when we are confused,
Or in panic,
Or feeling depressed.
Noticing,
May I be well,
May I be happy.
Noticing this over and over again.
Noting this,
Actually.
Noting the words,
May I be well,
May I be happy.
It's also very helpful to embrace the possibility that help,
Specifically for you,
Can be there.
If you allow yourself to be well,
To be happy,
In a very soft way.
If you slightly allow the possibility for you to be well,
To be happy,
It will be much easier to ask for help.
To not lock yourself up,
Thinking,
I can do this,
Or I need to do this all by myself.
There's so much support,
You know.
You can always reach out to somebody you feel you can trust or learn from.
And even if you're not sure if it's going to be totally fine,
If you reach out to somebody,
Taking a small step,
Moment to moment,
Asking for help.
A friend,
Or a family member,
Or a psychologist,
Or maybe a doctor,
You know,
This can be really,
Really helpful.
And meanwhile,
If this message you're listening to right now resonates,
You can always return to this message.
Repetition,
I keep repeating this,
Repetition is key when it comes to allowing the love,
The clarity,
The softness,
Allowing this to be more palpable.
It's very helpful to keep listening to somebody pointing towards this possibility,
To rest in the midst of all circumstances.
You might notice today,
While interacting with somebody,
Suddenly,
Ah,
Wow,
Something reminds you to soften,
To take this short moment in which you don't emphasize any thought.
This short moment where all is left alone.
Where you,
As this human vehicle,
Are truly able to not want anything to be different,
To just kind of feel grounded at the same time.
Like,
Wow,
Ah,
It's okay,
Life,
Although difficult,
Although very confusing maybe,
Although,
Ah,
Maybe even undoable,
Although that seems to be the case.
This short moment might give you a beautiful opportunity to notice that you are worth living,
That life wants you to be here.
To suddenly feel totally different,
Not confused,
Not doubtful,
Fearful.
Noticing the breath,
Again in that moment,
Coming in through the nose,
Chest,
Abdomen,
And back again abdomen,
Chest,
Nose.
Staying with that for a while.
Such a profound practice.
Putting things down on the out-breath.
Breathing in some fresh energy,
Warm and loving energy,
Into the chest,
Opening the heart,
Feeling the abdomen again.
And from the abdomen,
Chest,
Nose,
Out again.
Putting things down,
It's okay.
It's okay to be totally soft.
And to note again,
May I be well on the in-breath,
May I be happy on the out-breath.
May I be safe.
May I be free from suffering.
As I have been hearing Ajahn Achelo,
This beautiful Buddhist monk,
Repeating over and over,
This helped me so,
So much in my life.
Listening to his teachings,
Ajahn Achelo,
May I be well,
May I be happy,
May I be safe and free from suffering.
Can you feel this yourself right now as you're listening?
Can you somehow receive the beauty in this?
It seems to be almost inevitable to be kind in this way to our whole body-mind systems.
And to be present,
To notice that we are,
And that life wants us to be here in the way we perceive it to be.
May I be well,
May I be happy.
Breathing in,
May I be well.
Breathing out,
May I be happy.
And another beautiful moment to notice the warmth in your heart.
Breathing in,
May I be well.
Breathing out,
May I be happy.
And as you feel that this is deepening,
As you truly can sense,
Wow,
Now I can feel that I am allowing myself,
Even slightly,
To feel well and to feel happy.
If this is opening up for you,
By practicing again and again,
You can also send this out to others.
May all beings be well,
May all beings be happy.
Or may your partner,
Your child,
Or your friends,
Or your mom or dad be happy,
Be well.
Be safe,
Be free from suffering.
May they be well,
May they be happy.
May they be safe,
May they be free from suffering.
So beautiful.
Maybe you can already notice how this is softening your whole body-mind system immediately.
Wow.
Spreading out the love that is always already here.
This beautiful non-personal and unconditional love that seems to be so,
So much,
So there,
So pure.
And why not spread it?
Spread it out into the universe.
It will be picked up,
No doubt about that.
Yeah.
May they be well,
May they be happy.
May I be well,
May I be happy.
And as many Buddhists are asking us to do,
Is to notice that through meditating in this way,
We are creating merit,
Good karma,
Which we can also dedicate to somebody or to all beings.
Dedicate to somebody or to all beings.
And today,
As you have been listening,
You also created this merit,
This good karma.
And if you like,
You can dedicate this to somebody.
Somebody you feel that might need some extra positive vibes,
One could say.
I dedicate the merit of this meditation to so and so.
May they be well,
May they be happy,
May they be free from suffering,
May they be safe.
Noticing the breath again coming in through the nose,
Chest,
Abdomen.
Abdomen,
Chest,
Nose.
Thank you,
Thank you so much for listening to this session.
May you be well,
May you be happy,
May you be safe,
Truly safe and free from suffering.
And may you notice from time to time,
That it's very helpful to notice that you are noticing the breath.
Noticing that something,
Some benevolent force is breathing you,
Wanting you to be here,
Showing that you are totally worthy.
Showing you that you are so beautiful.
I truly hope that you can sense this,
Feel this deeply,
That you are,
You are so beautiful.
So welcome to be here with all that seems to be going on in your life.
Let's take a last look at the breath.
Let's take a last deep breath in together.
May I be well.
And breathing out,
May I be happy.
Wishing you a beautiful day.
Until the next timeless moment in time.
Much love.
Bye.

You’re fabulous a fabulous life guide. I don’t know how to explain it but it’s like your natural guru and I never use that word. It’s not from my culture. Anyway, thanks for your gift. Oh, and by the way, I’ve taken your course :-)

I ‘d give this meditation ten stars 🌟 if I could. Your soothing voice and words were incredibly powerful to me at this time. My dear husband and I were married for 63 years and five months when he passed away on December 29, 2022. I miss him when I return home and look at his favourite chair. Mostly I miss his gentle presence. I carry on my life as well as I can. So I don’t fight with reality. At the present time I have a serious case of the flu and am not sure My 84 year old body will survive it. So I tried to listen to your meditation on dying and had to stop half way. Just want to thank you for this talk. It was most helpful. 🩷🩷 Thank you for your beautiful response, Ruben. I have had a paid membership with Insight Timer for a few years now. Best money I have spent! It’s got me through some difficult times. About four days ago, I received a call from the credit card company that my card had been compromised so they cancelled it and issued a new one. Problem is the card is in Canada and I live in Mexico! I will send you a donation as I like to do when I receive help from a teacher. That aside for now, I’m feeling clearer. I’m glad it worked for you. Much love ❤️
