Winter Blessings

During the festive season, you might be writing greetings full of best wishes and good wishes, and beautiful words to friends and family. What does it mean to have good wishes for a soul? Can giving good wishes make a difference? How do I accept the good wishes of others? When people say beautiful words to me…. Is it easy to accept these lovely words for myself? Is it easy to accept nice things that others want to say to me? Do I give myself blessings?

This is Soul to Soul, This is Rose from Glasgow and we're going to talk about winter blessings so welcome and I'm shanty so what do we mean by winter blessings because it's the time of celebration the festive season so during this festive season you might be writing greetings full of best wishes and good wishes and beautiful words to your friends and your family it's funny if we maybe just do that once a year some of us will do it more than that but it's like a tradition to do it at this time of year what does it mean to have good wishes for us so so what do we mean by the words good wishes and can it make a difference giving these good wishes actually even if someone says something nice to us that lifts our hearts even if someone smiles at us it can lift our heart if they see something in us that they think is rather special it lifts our hearts and we can remember that forever forever so how to accept the good wishes of others what kind of effect does this have on I the soul when people say beautiful words to me is it easy to accept these lovely words for myself is it easy to accept nice things that others want to say to me but I also give myself blessings those lovely words blessings are just lovely words and attitudes I remember years and years and years ago a few things that were really rather nice being said to me that I was astonished when somebody said these and I never forgot I still remember to this day and I think it helped keep me buoyant when heavier times came so it's a wonderful thing if someone sees something nice in you I remember somebody saying to me oh so many years ago before I was doing any of this you have a beautiful mind and I was staggered because I'd never even thought of what was a minder did I have a minder how could I have a beautiful mind I didn't even know I had one and I thought was quite charming that someone said to me you have a beautiful mind I remember thinking about it over and over think I have a beautiful mind didn't even know what a mind was for about 20 years later when I started to do meditation and a few other things similar to that that someone would say to me and they became like treasures in the mind even not understanding them for uplifting because their energy something beautiful made of this beautiful good feeling of energy touches the heart of the soul touches our energy and lifts us up even if we don't even understand what it is or why it is it's an energy that goes beyond language actually it's a vibration so if I take some time to reflect and meditate I can then begin to experience the beauty of my character and the biggest blessing is knowing that I am a soul and that I'm a child of the divine and if I have pure good wishes for myself every day and I become a natural well-wisher for others because you see if I have good feelings of my heart again with energy which goes beyond understanding you don't have to understand the words you don't have to be doing the practice of meditation yourself it doesn't have to even be in your language it's a vibration and if I can have these good vibrations coming from my heart they definitely because their energy are going out into the world and as they go out into the world they can be touching the hearts that are receptive to those vibrations whatever whether they're rich or poor or clever or not so clever or it's their language or not their language or I know them or I don't know them or with something in common or nothing in common but these vibrations if they touch their hearts these vibrations are lifting them above and beyond understanding what it is just feelings of feeling better inside will be happening so it's so important that when I get to know the value of the vibrations that come from myself and go out into the world that I'm actually helping to change the life without getting anything back because I say it's beyond knowing it's beyond even understanding it's beyond people saying it was you that gave me this vibration or I don't even know the words that you were having that feeling in because a different language is beyond all of these things it's energy and if it's healthy uplifting energy it will uplift souls all over the world and they'll feel supported and not so daunted by whatever is happening around them so that's why they're called blessings or good wishes but they're actually energy that we put out through understanding ourselves that we want to have good feelings for ourselves we want to do meditation we want to connect with the one above I want to know more I want to know what's going on I want to know the value of these vibrations and as I start to do this and it's not just in the winter time or during a festive season these sparkling vibrations can go out daily to the world so if I have pure good wishes for myself every day then I become a natural well-wisher for others I want that's what I like to think I could teach myself to become and there's a lot to sort out in the self if you feel yourself go to get grumpy or you're feeling not too enchanted by something then that's what you're putting out I mean people have got enough grumpiness and enough disheartenment without me sending a few more vibes to give them even more of that so it takes time because we have gathered sadness over many births and our inner world is untidy and it's time to stop the blame and make our energy sweet and loving and soft when it becomes soft you feel there's no hard edges there's no tension apprehension worry so if I could practice this over and over it's called tension free I can allow myself to become so inside so when I practice being soft inside and I can share pure good feelings because we could know the discomfort of feeling tense worried inside it's very uncomfortable if I want to write best wishes on your cards the wonderful message of hope and upliftment for the people I love let me start with myself let me write a blessing for myself say to myself maybe a sweet and loving so may you always be courageous and unshakable tell myself this don't get daunted because you'll put that out may you experience the company of the ocean of peace the divine the supreme so talk to myself these are wonderful blessings that I need to activate these words think the sweet thoughts feel the pure feelings and share these positive words so think of them in the self understand them in the self so that in the form of energy they go out to touch the world not just as someone I write a card to but they go out to touch the world good wishes and pure feelings are not just for the winter months and the festive time in fact every day is a festival once I become so conscious I'm a soul an eternal being so let me pause and reflect and let me consider the wonder of who I am or who you are when you know how wonderful you are you will see the wonder in others you won't want to pull them down you won't want to give them more disenchantment than they're already experiencing it's a winter wonderland and we are all wonderful souls and so you deserve winter blessings and all the year round blessings so I need to activate these words for myself I need to think these sweet thoughts and feel the pure feelings and then share the positive words so when I'm thinking of others or when I'm writing a card or some message let me consider the effect it will have let me say more than just seasons greetings all the best lots of love hope you're well let me say something that means a bit more let me think let me be creative let me be creative what can I say and so let me practice meditation because the secret is to understand the power of these thoughts on myself and also realize the power of any other kind of thoughts on myself and to realize I don't want to send out these other thoughts because whatever I think does go out into the world and if I could practice experiencing the company of the one above the ocean of peace the divine the supreme soul then it's easy for me to get the strength because it's the strength I need because all the goodness is already there inside us but we need to bring it to the surface and we need to really know the effect these feelings have on the self I think when we know the the effect these feelings have on the self it can make us so determined not to put these heavier feelings on to others but to want to share the nicer feelings and know that you'd be really be uplifted by passing those good feelings on because they say that if you want something you have to give it if you want respect you have to give respect if you want love you have to give love you might think but I don't know if I have respect I don't have love but you do so this is strengthening those feelings in the self when I start to wish to give those feelings out to help others I'm bringing them to the surface of I the soul so I get the benefit but there's also a law of energy even souls that have no idea they've been touched by good feelings they just maybe feel okay but they don't understand what happened to them or that anything did happen to them but inside them they're full of all these goodness that we've put out and against their conscious wish by the law of energy the response will come back to us that we put out if I put out light heartedness it will touch the light heartedness and whoever experienced that vibration and it will come back to I the soul that gave it out and you'll wonder why you're feeling so light-hearted today because you gave the vibration of being light-hearted out into the world the same with love peace kindness sweetness friendliness I'm shanty it's really powerful when you say consider the effect when writing or saying something because it's so true that things can stay with you for years good things are not so good things and and yet sometimes we can just write things or say things like in a moment like a throwaway and you've got no idea the impact that that can have could you say something more about if you become aware become so conscious and you put that power of vibration of pure vibration behind your words even if they're written words why does that have such an amazing impact on on others that they can get real feeling because that's their natural nature but they haven't got round to discovering that maybe most of them some will have and they'll feel an upliftment and just feel so much better spiritually within themselves but others will not have reached that part in their journey where they've actually explored who am I but still that can touch their hearts because inside underneath all the experiences of sadness and sorrow and heaviness and tiredness and illness and chaos underneath all that is the original nature which has all these beautiful qualities in it and it has never been destroyed it's still there but it's covered up and because it's truly their nature that vibration will fly to the heart of the soul and touch their nature and because of that they will have even they won't know it but they will definitely have a response to that which uplifts them and which will come out into the atmosphere back to you I mean it's rather amazing and rather wonderful and it's happening every day all the time and so not to lose heart if we look out into the darkness and we think things look a bit grim but inside many many many many millions of souls in the world are being touched and the original nature is coming to the surface and I love the thought that it's beyond language like you create your thoughts in language but the vibration that is the kind of result that is languageless its energy its energy it's nothing to do with age or religion or money or position education male or female color any that is the soul it's the language of the soul and we all have the same characteristics inside us doesn't matter what age what color what religion it's beyond all of that it's the language from the heart of the soul to the heart of the soul because inside we all love each other it's covered up by all these rules and regulations and all the sad things that happen the responsibilities and the worries and not much money and worry about losing jobs and all that kind of thing covers up all that wonderful part of her character but it can't kill off that part of her character if you like the original natural you is still there and that goes for everyone that's why we can never be superior actually or arrogant or think we've great and everyone else is not great or we know something and no one else knows it and all that kind of stuff so a big deal maybe for the moment some people appear to have this that the next thing and others appear to not have but the truth will out we all have the same beautiful beautiful qualities inside it's nice to think of there being like you said no hard edges no tension no worry so to create a vibration that's like that so and it's just it's almost alien in today's world yeah that's unheard of and if you practice that even for a second even as we're speaking you'll see that if you just you see your closest part to the soul is your face and if your face is clenched or got anger flashing in the eyes or apprehension and the mind or the forehead screwed up ready to get going into some arrogance then there'll be tension in the entire body system and the minute I stop that and allow everything to go so then I become tension free in the tire body system even if I could do this for a short time over and over and over throughout the day tension free tension free just make sure this bit is not reflecting any antagonism wish to challenge in any way there's like something worth investing in like you said build it up it's like build up vibration yeah and be reassured that all that tension can disappear and that's what causes the ill health the sickness and aches and pains and all sorts of problems so to practice that so just relax keeping the eyes open and allowing our attention to be spiritual in the center of the forehead I am this well-wisher I am this beautiful energy and even thoughts of being a well-wisher for the world can make my heart dance I want to get started I want to do this it's beyond arrogance because I won't actually get praised for this kind of practice but what happens is I'll feel these feelings growing powerfully in the self because I'm giving them out and what I give I receive I am a soul a loving being who begins to see and understand this family of beautiful energies that I belong to they also belong to me when I think like this I can never feel alone I belong to the family of the world I am a soul and I can practice having these wonderful feelings and thoughts for others to feel pure feelings and practice when I speak to others to share beautiful words people are not used to hearing beautiful words where you're used to business language smart clever words not so often beautiful words so to practice good wishes and pure feelings through your mind for the whole year not just for festive times but for the whole year let it be our practice and when you know the power and helpful quality of your energy you will also see that in others um you you you
