Your host and guide.
Today's meditation,
We're focusing on the connection between the Root Chakra and the Heart Chakra.
These two powerful energy centres really shape how we feel secure and also how we give and receive love.
So the Root Chakra,
Located at the base of the spine,
Is your foundation.
It governs safety and stability and also connection to family and also to the earth.
And when it's strong,
It gives us this groundedness to stand firm even when life gets really challenging.
And the Heart Chakra,
Which is obviously the centre of your chest,
Is the seat of our love,
Our compassion,
Our emotional healing.
And it allows us to feel connected and to express care for ourselves and for others.
And when we put these chakras together,
It reminds us that that feeling safe and secure allows our hearts to be open with trust and with love.
So in this meditation,
We're going to explore how the stability at the Root Chakra supports and helps the openness of the heart and thus creating a harmony that nourishes us and strengthens our relationships.
So allow yourself to become comfortable and we will get ready to begin.
So sitting or lying down,
Make sure that you are in complete comfort.
Use any supports you need,
Make sure you're warm,
You're not going to be disturbed.
And when you feel settled and your body feels ready,
Then close your eyes.
We always begin by centering ourselves with a few deep breaths.
So just inviting in a long,
Slow,
Soft,
Deep breath.
And allow your exhalation to be slow,
Soft and deep.
As you inhale,
Create space within the body.
As you exhale,
Release any tension.
So allow your body to take another couple of deep breaths before you settle back to your natural flow of breath.
And just gently checking in with how you feel within your body.
Notice if there are any parts of you that want your attention.
And if they do need your attention,
Then just either breathe into it,
Maybe place a hand there,
Or even move your body until you feel ready to come into a quiet stillness.
So we're going to begin by bringing your awareness into the base,
Into your root.
So either the root of the spine,
The very bottom of your spine,
Or perhaps deep into the perineum.
And with your intention deep into the root chakra,
Muladhara,
Imagine a deep red light glowing here.
Feel into this energy of your root chakra,
Steady,
Strong,
Connected to the earth.
And as you allow this energy of the root chakra to become alive in your mind,
In your body,
Visualize roots growing from the base of your spine,
Traveling down beneath you,
Through the floor,
Through the foundations of your house,
Deep into the earth beneath you.
And feel the stability and support of the earth beneath you.
And with each soft breath,
This red light becomes brighter and warmer.
It holds your sense of safety,
Your connection to family,
Your ability to feel secure in the world.
So let's take a couple of affirmations to just really feel into this root chakra.
I am strong,
Stable,
And secure.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I have a strong foundation in my life.
I am supported by the foundation of my life.
Allow this feeling of stability to fill your entire lower body.
Feel the weight of yourself on the earth,
And feel the earth's energy supporting you completely.
So now gently shift your focus to the center of your chest,
To your heart chakra.
And imagine a soft emerald green light glowing here.
Feel into this energy of the Anahata.
This light represents love,
Compassion,
And your ability and desire to connect with others.
Deepen your breath and feel the green light grow brighter,
Stronger.
Bring to mind your family or loved ones,
Your tribe.
Let the green light expand with compassion,
Embracing both the joy and challenges within these relationships.
Imagine now that this green light begins to merge with the red light of the root chakra.
These two lights,
Soft deep red and emerald green,
Intertwine creating a flowing connection between grounded stability and open-hearted love.
You can take a moment to reflect on how your root chakra provides the safety you need to open your heart.
When you feel secure you can express love without fear.
Feel the steady red energy from your root supporting this love,
Anchoring it with strength and resilience.
Repeat silently or aloud,
I am grounded in love.
My heart is safe to open and heal.
I trust my foundation to support my growth.
Now think about the emotions that reside within your heart.
The joy,
The pain,
The hope,
The fear,
And the love.
Allow these feelings to flow freely like a gentle river.
Imagine this emotional energy traveling down into your root chakra,
Descending into the earth where it is anchored,
Grounded.
Then imagine this energy comes back,
Rising back up through your body,
Passing through the heart.
This red light merging with the green,
Shimmering and intertwining like the northern lights.
As these energies unify,
Feel the emotions becoming clearer,
Being processed without blame or shame.
The more deeply you are rooted in your foundation,
The lighter and freer your heart can be.
Your heart opening to all.
Know that this process allows you to express your feelings openly,
Authentically.
To love and be loved.

All supported by the stability of the root chakra.
So aloud or silently,
Repeat,
I honor my emotions and express them with clarity.

I release shame and blame and I speak from my heart.

Feeling into the harmony between your root and your heart.
Emotions grounded.
Emotions clear.
So just before we finish,
Take another moment to visualize these green and red lights mingling,
Creating a stable foundation for love and compassion.
And again,
Affirm to yourself,
I am strong,
Stable and secure.
I am safe to love and be loved.
Open and loving.
My emotions are honored and my heart is free.
When you're ready,
Take a deeper breath.
Feel these understandings,
This connection,
Take root within you.
You're going to carry this balance of stability and love into your day.
Feeling rooted and open hearted.
So when you feel ready,
Bring some movement back into your fingers,
Your toes.
Gently stretch your body in a luxurious way.
Slowly open your eyes.
