Welcome to the meditation for stress release,

Relaxation and deep sleep.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable position in your bed,

Laying on your back,

Preparing for a restful sleep.

Your head should be just slightly supported,

Your neck neither hyper-extended or experiencing any hyper-flexion or restriction.

You should be laying flat on your back,

With your arms and legs straight but relaxed,

Along your sides.

Be sure to keep them uncrossed.

This will allow for ultimate flow of energy and circulation through your entire being.

Gently close your eyes and prepare to take a couple of deep cleansing breaths.

These breaths will help to allow you to release and send out any built-up stress or tension you may feel on your exhalation.

Begin now.

Through your nose,

Inhale.

One,

Two,

Three.

Hold for a moment and then exhale long and slow,

Also through your nose.

Repeat that again.

Inhale.

One,

Two,

Three.

Hold for a moment and then release,

Release,

Release.

This is your time to wind down.

Get down the weight of anything you have been carrying throughout the day.

Give yourself permission to release and relax with a clear and calm mind here in the present moment.

Feel an awareness of your body,

The sheer weight of your body on the surface that supports you and provides a grounding connection to the earth.

Feel the oneness of your body with your surroundings.

Now gently bring your attention to your breath.

The in and the out.

Feel all of the qualities of your breath.

The coolness and the warmth of your breath as it exits and enters your body.

The rise and fall of your chest on the inhalation and exhalation.

Begin to already feel a wave of relaxation,

Peace and contentment wash over your body with each inhale and exhale.

Preparing your body to enter the deepest level of relaxation,

Culminating in a deep,

Restful sleep.

Now visualize an orb of blue light floating above your body.

This glowing blue light contains all that is peaceful,

Calm,

Serene and stress relieving.

You can sense its calm and stress reducing properties.

You can feel the power that this light has to eliminate any traumatic or troublesome thoughts or emotions that may be impeding your mind at this time,

Interfering with your ability to experience a deeply restful and healing sleep.

See this beautiful glowing blue light growing ever so slightly brighter,

Gently pulsating.

Feel a kind of vibratory healing and calming energy coming from the light.

Feel that energy and light slowly grow stronger,

Larger and brighter until it is completely illuminating and enveloping your entire body.

As you continue to breathe,

Begin to feel yourself breathing that beautiful blue light into your body.

Feel the light's energy slowly penetrate each and every part of your body,

Beginning with the crown of your head.

As you begin to absorb the light,

Feel each physical area the light passes through totally and completely relax.

Feel your scalp relax,

Your forehead and eyebrows.

Any tension in your eyes,

Face or around your mouth,

Let it just soften and melt away.

As the light passes through,

Feel it relax your neck muscles,

Your shoulders.

Feel everything just let go and become heavy with sleep and restfulness.

Feel the light move further down each arm,

Making its way past your elbows,

Forearms and into each of your hands and fingers.

Each of these areas relaxes one by one,

Slowly,

And is infused with the calmness,

Peacefulness and serenity of this blue light.

The light retraces the path back up your arms beginning with the palms of your hands,

Then traveling through your thumbs,

Up the inside of your elbows,

Then reaching up to your shoulders.

It then pauses for a moment and penetrates the area over your neck and upper back,

Lingering ever so slightly over those areas.

See it concentrate longer on the area between your shoulder blades,

Feeling those muscles,

Bones and connective tissue melt,

Relax and let go.

As this is an area,

We have the tendency to hold a lot of tension.

Next,

Feel the blue light infiltrate your spine,

Beginning at the vertebrae in the back of your neck.

Feel it infuse and regenerate each cervical vertebrae of your neck,

And then moving down through each thoracic vertebrae of your upper spine.

As it moves through,

Feel the tiny,

Minute accessory muscles that support your back.

Let go and relax.

They perform so independent of your awareness on a second to second basis,

Each waking moment of each day.

Be thankful for all that they do to support your posture and allow you to function and allow that blue light to reinvigorate each vertebrae,

Each supporting muscle and nerve bundle,

And the fluid and contents of each disc that cushions the space between each vertebrae and your spine.

Feel each area heal,

Realign and become whole again,

Relaxing and preparing for a reinvigorating sleep.

The light circles around your chest and abdomen as you still focus on the in and the out sensations of your breath.

Feel yourself fully breathing in this healing,

Relaxing blue light deeply into your lungs,

Allowing it to permeate and relax all within your entire midsection.

Feel the peace and relaxation within all of your organs,

The stillness that follows.

And then see and feel that light fully surround and encompass your heart.

Feel it penetrate,

Glowing brighter a little more with each beat.

The light now moves further down your spine into the lumbar and sacral vertebrae,

Performing the same refreshing and relaxing renewal.

Feel your pelvis sink deeper into your sleeping surface,

Feeling heavier and more open.

Now feel this healing and relaxing light move down through your hip bones and into each outer leg.

As it does,

Feel your whole hip region and sacral area relax,

Become heavy and let go.

The light reaches further as you continue to breathe in and out,

As it moves down through each leg,

Relaxing the large muscles of your quadriceps and hamstrings on your upper legs,

And passes through your knees and into your lower calf muscles and shins.

This beautiful blue light,

It rests,

Renews and relaxes each area as it passes through.

It now travels through your ankles and into your feet,

Calming and relaxing the arches and balls of your feet,

And then into each and every toe.

Still glowing that beautiful blue,

You feel the restful energy penetrating your being,

Preparing you for a renewing restful sleep.

Now that your body is completely infused with this healing light,

Feel it glow uniformly with you as you become one with this light for a moment.

Feel total peaceful relaxation throughout your entire being.

Now ever so slowly,

Like a gentle wave rolling back into the sea,

Feel this beautiful light softly leaving each part of your body,

Leaving nothing but a peaceful,

Relaxed feeling.

Each part of your body is so heavy and relaxed and ready to enter into the realm of sleep as the light slowly returns back into the floating orb.

There is no tension in your body,

No tension in your mind.

You are clear and open.

You are able to let go and imagine yourself drifting and floating away with that light into a deep,

Restful sleep.

You are able to let go and imagine yourself drifting and floating away with that light into a deep,

Restful sleep.

You are able to let go and imagine yourself drifting and floating away with that light into a deep,

Restful sleep.

You are able to let go and imagine yourself drifting and floating away with that light into a deep,

Restful sleep.
