This guided visualization exercise will walk you through finding your life purpose. You'll go on a journey for a celebration of your future self. This is a great exercise to help you gain clarity if you are going through a transition.

Welcome to this life purpose guided visualization exercise.

Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position.

You may choose to lie on your back,

Sit in a chair,

Or even stand.

Having a sense of the entire body in the position that you're in,

Head to toe,

Front to back,

The sides.

Taking a few deep breaths in through your nose,

Out through the mouth.

Noticing any tension or tightness in the body and simply letting yourself relax.

Simply being present to what is.

I want you to imagine that you're of older age and your family and friends have all gathered together to celebrate you.

It's a warm and beautiful day.

You're seated outside on the porch.

The sun is shining on your skin.

You can feel its warmth on you.

You look at your surroundings and you notice this beautiful clear water of a lake right in front of you.

You take a moment to really notice the beauty of your environment.

You hear the sounds of birds chirping.

You notice a soft breeze on your skin.

Smell flowers wafting through the air.

You might even smell your favorite drink,

Maybe a coffee or tea.

It is an absolute perfect day and you're so excited to see your friends and family.

One by one,

All the guests arrive for your party.

Each family member stops to greet you on the porch on their eye.

They take a few moments to express gratitude for you and the difference that you've made in their life.

It is so clear that you've had an impact far and wide,

Not only in your friends lives,

But in the lives of people you've never even met before.

As the day continues,

Each family member stops to give you a card.

In it,

They've written short notes of thanks.

By the end of the day,

There are stacks of cards and letters piling up all around you.

You start to sit down and one by one open each letter.

What are people thanking you for?

What impact have you made on their lives?

What patterns are you hearing in the cards that people have written for you?

Take a few moments to yourself to jot down your thoughts on a piece of paper or journal them for yourself.

Whenever you're ready,

Once again taking a few deep breaths in through your nose,

Out through the mouth,

Letting the breath return to normal,

Starting to become aware of the space you're in once again.

Wiggling the fingers,

The toes,

Opening the eyes,

Looking around the room or space that you're in.

Know that you can always come back to this moment and reflect on the impact that you've made for folks lives.
