Hello and welcome to this short pre-sleep guided meditation,
I'm Richard Willis and my voice will guide you into a relaxed state as you prepare for sleep.
So get into a comfy position,
Close your eyes,
And set the intention to do one thing now,
Relax.
Feel into the surface underneath you,
The touch,
The softness,
Allow the weight of the body to relax into it,
Let all the muscles soften,
And imagine now gathering your thoughts,
Thoughts that aren't beneficial right now,
Things that would keep you thinking rather than letting go,
Helping you to sleep,
Picture those thoughts as a cloud forming above you,
A cloud of things to plan,
Things to do,
Add those thoughts into the cloud,
Add into that cloud,
Mulling over the past,
Worries,
Uncertainty,
Put all those thoughts into the cloud,
Floating there,
Fluffy and light,
Fill that cloud with what you have to,
Then let it float away,
Any important thoughts can be dealt with another time,
Right now it's time to sleep,
See that cloud floating up,
Into the atmosphere,
Lighter,
And lighter,
Into the distance,
Becoming wisps of mist as it moves,
And gradually disappears,
As you relax,
As you relax more deeply,
Into a sense of peace,
Body relaxed,
And mind relaxed,
Drifting,
Towards sleep,
