Hello and welcome to this short guided meditation.

I'm Richard Willis and my voice will guide you in a practice to quiet your mind,

Gather your energy and experience an all-over sense of peace.

So settle yourself into a comfy position,

Close your eyes and instruct the mind to be quiet.

It's time to hush.

If there's mental chatter just internally tell the mind that there will be time for that later.

Right now is the time to relax,

An essential health break for your own well-being.

There is nothing more important to do than rejuvenating yourself in this moment.

So take a deep breath in and hold it.

Imagine gathering all the thoughts you might want to think about within that breath.

Then exhale,

Breathing out the thought of those thoughts with it.

Let them all go and as your breath returns to a normal rhythm allow yourself to lean into the present moment,

Feeling the breath in and out,

Being aware of the resting body,

Feeling into the surface underneath with a sense of space around you.

If you notice the occasional remnant of a thought just imagine it drifting into the distance,

Barely audible like a fading whisper,

Leaving the bliss of silence and inner space to gather your energy,

Rejuvenate and relax.

Spend some valuable moments now in your silent inner space.

Well done.

Now slowly open your eyes,

Bring yourself back into your surroundings and know that you can take a relaxing break like this whenever you need it,

Quietening the mind,

Taking that relaxed energy into the rest of your day.
