Welcome to your meditation for interview preparation.
Please begin by sitting in a comfortable,
Upright position.
Relax your neck and shoulders and allow your eyes to close as you take a few long,
Deep breaths.
Good.
Just relax.
Remembering that everything happens as it is meant to and that each experience provides us with greater insight and perspective can help to reduce some of the pressure that you may be feeling.
Regardless of the outcome,
You are exactly where you need to be.
This meditation will help you to feel more relaxed while putting you into a more focused and confident mindset,
No matter which direction life decides to take you.
It is all a part of the journey.
With that being said,
Let's prepare to do the best we can.
Our first practical step is to bring to mind three things that you have done or will do to prepare yourself for your interview.
Take a moment to really consider these three things.
Acknowledge that by doing these things,
You are already at an advantage.
Our next step is to think of why you want to do well in your interview.
Will obtaining this job allow you to help people?
If so,
Think of the people you will help.
Will you be moving closer towards your goals?
Will you have more financial security?
How would you use the money that you will make in this new job?
There is no wrong answer here.
Simply reflect on why you want to do well,
And what motivates you.
Keep this in mind as we move into the next exercise.
Now I'd like you to think of a time in your life when you accomplished something that you were proud of.
It can be anything.
How did you feel during that time?
And how do you feel about it now?
Really focus in on that feeling and allow yourself to feel it now as though it were currently happening.
Good,
Now in this next visualization exercise,
I'd like you to imagine yourself going into your meeting,
Feeling confident and prepared.
Your mind is sharp and focused.
Your body is calm and relaxed.
Rather than feeling nervous,
You feel a sense of excitement because you know you are going to do well.
Take a moment to imagine how this feels,
As if it were happening right now.
Imagine everything playing out exactly how you would like it to in an ideal world.
Everything is flowing smoothly,
You're answering questions genuinely and with ease.
You feel present and connected.
As you near the end of your meeting,
Feel yourself smiling with genuine happiness from the inside out,
Knowing that you've expressed yourself in the most positive way.
You leave the room feeling amazing and ready to take on whatever comes next.
Feel proud of yourself,
You had nothing to worry about.
As our final exercise,
I'd like you to repeat the following positive affirmations silently in your mind.
I release all doubts.
I exude confidence.
I inspire those around me.
I believe in myself and my abilities.
Right now,
I feel focused.
Right now,
I feel calm.
Good.
Now as you slowly begin to bring some movement back into your body,
You can start by wiggling your toes,
Wiggling your fingertips.
And take a nice deep inhale.
Good.
And exhale.
You should be feeling more refreshed,
More prepared and confident as you slowly begin to open your eyes.
Thank you so much for joining me in this meditation.
