Details

Over this weekend retreat, we’ll explore how mindfulness can help us meet conflict – whether with others or within ourselves – with steadiness, clarity and compassion. Guided by a series of Zen-inspired teaching stories, we’ll investigate how fixed positions and old emotional baggage keep us stuck, and how turning inward can dissolve the fights “out there.” We’ll examine our own patterns of craving, aversion, and ignorance, and learn how to being a deeper compassion to our actions and relationships as we see more deeply into our shared human experience. Taught by Mark Westmoquette, senior Zen teacher with over 15yrs of teaching experience and author of “Zen and the Art of Dealing With Difficult People” (2021, Watkins Press). The retreat is suitable for all, from beginners to those with an established mindfulness practice.

Testimonials

info

I want to thank you for such a fantastic retreat. Everything about it was perfect: the environment, the accommodation, the food, the others, and most of all the teaching and subject matter. I enjoyed the retreat more than any other I've ever been to and hope to attend another of yours in 2025. I've learned so much! Thank you so much for all your hard work and making it possible.
