Details
Experience a deeply transformative pilgrimage to the sacred Rikhia Ashram in Bihar, India, where the ancient traditions of yoga are lived and practiced every day. Guided by Swami Karma Karuna, this 14-night retreat offers a rare opportunity to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Light, while immersing yourself in the profound practice of Tattwa Shuddhi Sadhana within the Bihar School of Yoga tradition. Designed for those seeking inner growth, spiritual renewal, and a deeper connection with themselves, this retreat invites you to step away from the busyness of everyday life and embrace the simplicity of authentic ashram living. Through meditation, mantra, Yoga Nidra, Karma Yoga (selfless service), and daily yogic practices, you'll experience a supportive environment that nurtures mindfulness, self-awareness, and personal transformation. Whether you are visiting India for the first time or returning to a place that feels like home, this journey offers an authentic cultural and spiritual experience unlike a typical yoga retreat. Surrounded by a welcoming international community and guided by experienced teachers, you'll discover the wisdom, peace, and inspiration that arise from living the yogic lifestyle in one of India's most respected spiritual centers. Return home feeling refreshed, grounded, and inspired, with practical tools and timeless teachings to support your wellbeing and spiritual practice long after the retreat has ended.

Rikhiapeeth is situated in a remote village, twelve kilometres from the renowned temple town of Deoghar, Jharkhand. It is the tapobhumi of the great spiritual luminary and exponent of Yoga, Paramahansa Satyananda, who is renowned world-wide for his specialised and unparalleled contribution to Yoga, Tantra and the spiritual sciences. Rikhiapeeth is where Swami Satyananda lived the life of a Paramahansa Yogi for twenty years performing long and arduous yogic sadhanas before taking Samadhi here in 2009. In keeping with the yogic and spiritual legacy he left behind, the sprawling ashram has evolved into a vibrant epicentre where serious yoga lovers and sincere spiritual seekers from all walks of life, flock to experience the peace, harmony and true joy of living a Yogic lifestyle.
