Highlights

  • A gentle return home to yourself through somatic healing, nervous system support, nourishing connection, and the stunning beauty of Sedona's red rocks

Details

This half-day retreat offers a focused immersion into nervous system healing in the quiet beauty of Sedona, Arizona. Over four hours, you'll be held in a safe, attuned space designed to help your body remember what rest and internal safety feels like. Your nervous system holds the story of how you've survived, and this retreat creates space to understand those protective patterns while building new pathways for safety, regulation, and resilience. You'll have time to drop in deeply, work with somatic and emotional patterns, and leave with a clear map for continued healing. The experience begins with a nourishing breakfast in a peaceful setting, creating space for connection and presence before we move into somatic practices that calm the stress response and close anxiety-producing loops. Through gentle breathwork, polyvagal mapping, neuroception training, and body-based awareness, you'll learn where you tend to be on the nervous system ladder and how to retrain your body's unconscious threat detection toward safety through accessible self-regulation tools. We'll work with trapped activation using Somatic Experiencing principles, explore protective parts through Internal Family System (IFS) work, and practice emotional attunement that supports regulation in your daily life. This retreat is grounded in polyvagal theory and somatic psychology, offering an evidence-based approach that honors your body's wisdom and pace. You'll receive a personalized nervous system map that helps you understand your unique triggers, patterns, and capacity for rest and homeostasis, along with inner child integration work and somatic support tailored specifically to you. You'll leave with a written integration plan designed specifically for you, offering practices that will continue supporting your regulation long after the retreat ends. This experience is particularly supportive for people navigating stress, burnout, heartbreak, anxiety, or life transitions, and for anyone seeking to rebuild their relationship with rest, safety, and their own body, mind, and spirit. The approach is trauma and polyvagal informed and emphasizes choice, meaning you're invited to participate at your own level and can adjust any practice to honor what feels right for your body. My training: Polyvagal Institute Certification (Dr. Stephen Porges), Somatic Attachment Therapy, Somatic Anxiety Therapy, IFS Intensive Trauma Treatment (Dr. Frank Anderson), Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, and training with Dr. Peter Levine and Dr. Bessel van der Kolk. I've been working in this field for 25 years. My own healing journey through severe childhood trauma, disordered eating, dysregulation, and chronic illness taught me that nervous system regulation isn't theoretical, it's the difference between surviving and thriving. Includes: Breakfast, all teaching and somatic work, personalized nervous system map, detailed integration plan, and post-retreat check-in and integration session.

Schedule

Half-Day Private VIP Retreat — General Schedule (4 Hours) A focused polyvagal-informed retreat where evidence-based somatic practices and trauma-informed support guide you toward regulation, flexibility, resilience, and embodied safety. 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Arrival, Assessment & Neuroception Exploration We begin with a gentle welcome, grounding practices, and a comprehensive nervous system assessment. This time allows you to arrive fully, settle into the space, and connect with what brought you here. We'll explore how neuroception—your body's unconscious surveillance system—scans for threat and safety, establishing the container for deep work by helping your system recognize this space as safe enough for healing. Together we'll set a body-based intention that honors where you are right now. 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Breakfast & Connection A nourishing meal shared in a calm, natural setting. This is nervous system medicine: through co-regulation, social engagement, and mindful eating, we activate your parasympathetic system. You'll practice interoceptive awareness, noticing your body's signals without judgment. Healing and personal transformation begins here, in connection and presence. 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Polyvagal Theory & Nervous System Mapping An exploration of how your unique nervous system organizes around safety, threat, and connection. We'll map your autonomic patterns in real time: where do you spend most of your time on the polyvagal ladder? What are your defensive strategies? How do you recognize dysregulation? This is experiential learning grounded in polyvagal theory and stress physiology and tracking your nervous system states in real time. 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Somatic Practices, Gentle Breathwork, and Movement for Self-Regulation Guided somatic awareness, slow breathwork, and gentle movement designed to support downregulation, increase internal safety, and build capacity, matched to your current state. Practices may include pendulation, titration, orienting, bilateral stimulation, breathwork specific to your nervous system, and gentle movement. All practices are trauma-informed, choice-based, and paced to honor your body's signals and window of tolerance. 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Emotional Attunement & Inner Child Integration A deeper emotional session exploring relational patterns, stored emotional responses, and unmet needs held in the body. We'll work with Internal Family Systems to understand protective parts and begin developing Self-energy, the compassionate observer. The approach is boundaried, consent-based, and focused on self-attunement rather than catharsis and supports loving reconnection with younger parts of yourself. 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM: Personalized Somatic Support Individualized support tailored to your nervous system's needs. This may include hands-on somatic work (with explicit consent), bilateral stimulation, nervous system tracking, or touch-based grounding techniques. All interventions are explained, optional, and guided by your comfort and choice. 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: Nervous System Mapping and Integration Planning & Closing Reflection Together we'll create your detailed polyvagal map, understanding your specific triggers and glimmers, defensive patterns, stress responses, window of tolerance boundaries, and regulation pathways that work for you. You'll leave with a clear, practical integration plan with personalized practices designed for your daily life, not generic wellness advice. We close with guided reflection, meaning-making, and grounding supporting the consolidation of insights through somatic anchoring. We'll deepen the integration through self-appreciation for the courage it takes to do this work, honor your body's capacity to heal, and prepare for the transition back to daily life with realistic and supportive expectations. Post-Retreat Support You'll receive your personalized integration plan along with curated resources before you leave, and a complimentary 15-minute integration session to support your continued practice and integration.
