Details

Did you know your gut and your brain are in constant conversation? What we eat can shape how we feel, and how we feel can shape our gut health. This three-day training with Celia Roberts BSc explores that food-mood connection through Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda and meditation. You'll learn how the gut microbiome, the vagus nerve and the gut-brain axis influence mental wellbeing, and how yoga, mindful eating and simple lifestyle changes can support both. Across the three days you'll look at: • The philosophy of Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda, including Ayurvedic body types • The science of the gut-brain connection, from the microbiome to epigenetics • How emotions, stress and food affect mental health, body image and eating patterns • Practical tools including compassion-focused therapy, Kundalini Yoga and mindful eating The course is ideal for yoga teachers, therapists, health professionals and anyone curious about the food-mood connection. It can also be taken as an elective towards a full BIYOME yoga or meditation certification.

Testimonials

info

I saw this opportunity very last minute and knew immediately that it was "right" for me. I had no idea when I signed up for this course, how much I would learn and how much it would change how I see myself, others and life. Having the theory backed by science allowed for much deeper learning and understanding. I knew nothing of ayurveda before this course but now want to learn more. The whole course has been fantastic!

Belinda Taylor, Australia

I’ve begun sharing with my students that Yoga is much more than āsana and hope to continue nurturing that understanding. Through my own study and practice, I’ve come to see how Yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda can gently support healing and balance, and I wish to share this with care and compassion within my community.
