Welcome to day 17.

I'm so happy that you're back today.

We're going to talk about memories much suffering comes from reimagining memories of something painful that happened in order to Remember something our mind has stored it with an emotional Component how we felt about the thing that happened at the time It that's how memories are stored when we recall a memory.

We are recalling how we felt about it Many many memories are stored with pain all kinds of emotional pain and for some reason our minds get used to a Habit of bringing up that memory and looking at it again and feeling the pain again But it doesn't exist it only happened then and then it was over The only thing that's really happening is what's happening right now.

You're watching me So I want to encourage you to accept that the memories of painful events are just stories and They no longer exist and there's really not a reason to give them any more attention and It's okay to let them go so if you have trouble letting go of Past memories that hurt you reach out to me.

I can teach you some techniques that you can use But it starts with recognizing that it's a story now.

It's just a story and it isn't any more real than that So the more that we can Stop giving them attention the easier it is to let them go Try that write your prompt in your workbook and try today Noticing when your mind is bringing up a painful memory and then you can label it and say oh,

That's just a story It isn't existing and bring yourself back to the present.

All right,

I Look forward to hearing about how this is going for you you bye

A helpful dose of encouragement to take ownership and control of past hurtful memories. Refreshing reframing of the needless suffering so many of us continue to carry.

I’m on day 17 of the 90 day peace project. Is there a place where these are all together in sequence? I’ m having to scroll to find the next day. I do think these are very good and I can sense the change they are bringing to me. Thank you.
