In this meditation, connect with the shadows within, the shadows of the past, and join them with hopeful optimism toward the future. Lean into any resistance and allow your body and mind to relax into a healing state and release any tension held within you.

Transcript

Let's start by taking a nice deep breath in through the nose,

Out through the nose.

I want you to breathe into your diaphragm,

The space between the ribcage and the belly button.

This stimulates the vagus nerve,

Activates the parasympathetic nervous system and lets your body know that it's safe to relax.

Allow your eyes to close,

Eyelids feeling heavy,

Let your whole body sink into the ground beneath you,

Completely softening,

Relaxing,

Releasing.

Notice any areas that are resisting,

Relaxing and just be aware of these spaces,

Just acknowledge their presence in this moment and breathe through any tension,

Any worries,

Any anxieties.

I see you wading through the shadows,

A versions of who you used to be.

I see you sighing to see how painful it's been and smiling to see how easy it can be.

As you tiptoe,

Barefoot,

Dancing in the sand,

Light,

Airy,

Floating through the breeze,

Nature holds you and has you on your knees.

All act,

Allow yourself to surrender to your surroundings,

Free yourself of anything that's holding you back.

Remind yourself that you are worthy of a future even greater than you can imagine.

Remind yourself that you have a strength that even you don't know about yet.

Continue taking those deep breaths in loud through the nose.

Take this opportunity to allow the mind and body to reset,

Refresh,

Start again and wipe the slate clean,

Knowing you can come out of this meditation feeling completely differently to how you felt when you came in.

Slowly becoming aware of your surroundings,

Notice any sounds outside of my voice,

How your feet feel against the floor,

How your clothes feel against your skin and blinking the eyes open whenever you're ready.

This was lovely, and a wee bit hypnotic - in a good way. The background music helped me to really tune into your words. Thank you xx
