Hi,
My name is Robert Aceves,
And I welcome you to this guided sleep meditation for overcoming addiction,
Physical and emotional healing.
Thank you for taking the time to listen.
I'm going to ask you to find a quiet and comfortable place where you can relax without interruptions.
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position.
Let's begin.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in.
Slowly exhale,
Allowing your body to begin relaxing.
This is your time to embrace positive change,
Freedom from addiction and drift into a peaceful,
Healing,
Deep,
Restful sleep.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely,
Hold it for a moment,
And slowly exhale through your mouth.
Repeat the steep breathing three more times,
Feeling more relaxed with each breath,
And gently bring your awareness to your feet,
Feeling them becoming heavy and relaxed.
Slowly moving up to your calves,
Letting the relaxation flow through your muscles,
Feeling your thighs relaxing,
Becoming heavy and warm.
Allow the sensation to travel up to your hips and lower back,
Releasing any tension.
Feel your belly and your chest relaxing,
Your breath flowing easily,
Allowing this beautiful feeling of relaxation to move up to your shoulders,
Down through your arms and into your hands and fingers,
And your head relax,
Your entire body feeling calm and at peace.
And it is in this relaxed state that I am going to ask you to imagine yourself standing at the top of a gentle staircase.
Each step you take will bring you deeper into relaxation.
As you take the first step down,
Feel yourself sinking deeper into comfort and peace.
With each step,
Feel more and more relaxed,
And now count down from ten to one with each step,
Feeling the relaxation deepen,
10,
9,
8,
Deeper and deeper,
7,
6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Almost there,
You are now in a deep state of relaxation,
Ready to embrace positive change.
You have decided to quit your addiction,
And the way that you are going to quit today is simply to relax.
That's right,
You are going to slow down,
Relax,
Just let everything go.
And take this time that you have chosen for yourself to feel comfortable,
Relaxed,
And totally at ease,
You have no place else to be right now,
And nothing else to do.
You have selected this time to be here,
So just let everything go,
And leave all bothersome thoughts behind,
And take this time that you have chosen to be here,
To be completely relaxed,
And the more you allow yourself to relax,
The closer you are to overcoming your addiction.
You have come here today because you have a strong desire to stop your addiction.
No one else has forced you to come here,
You have come here because you have decided that today is the day.
Today is the day that you have decided to be free from your addiction once and for all.
No substance or behavior is going to control you anymore,
Because now you are in control.
And you have taken the first step here,
Now,
And today to become free from your addiction.
And by the end of this session,
In just a few moments,
Your goal will be reached.
And you will leave this session free from your addiction.
You will have stopped,
Once and for all,
That nasty habit of the past,
Will be gone.
You will begin your new life free from this addiction,
And you will never go back.
So,
As time passes by,
Right now,
Think of yourself in the following way.
I am free from my addiction,
I have stopped,
And I will never go back.
And as a person free from addiction,
I have the ability to be around others who still have it.
I have the ability to enjoy life as a free person.
And everything I do from this moment on is better as someone free from addiction.
It doesn't matter if I am at home,
At work,
Alone or with others,
I am in control.
Anywhere I go,
And no matter what I am doing,
Whether I am having dinner,
Relaxing,
Driving,
Working or having a break,
Everything is so much more enjoyable,
So much better,
As someone free from addiction.
You feel so much better,
Free from addiction,
So much healthier,
So much happier.
You will find that each and every day,
You will be able to breathe easier,
Enjoy life more,
Allowing a wonderful feeling of confidence to move through you right now.
At this very moment,
Realizing that you are free from addiction,
Feel the confidence that you now have.
You have overcome that negative habit.
You have reached your goal and become free from addiction,
Here and now.
You can feel that confidence moving through you,
Just filling you up.
It is important to realize that to accomplish anything worthwhile in your life,
You must give it 100% effort.
And to remain free from addiction is no different,
You must give it 100% effort.
100% to win.
By giving it 100%,
You have made a commitment to win.
You have made this commitment to yourself,
And that you will always move forward,
And always give it 100%.
100% to win.
You have stopped your addiction,
You are free from it,
And you will never go back again.
From this moment on,
Your commitment to your health is stronger than ever before.
In addition to being free from addiction,
You are also beginning a new positive habit,
One that will help you in every part of your life.
You will find that from this moment forward,
That water will taste better to you than ever before.
That wonderful,
Crisp,
Refreshing water will quench your thirst like it never has.
That life-giving water will help you in every step of the way to become healthier.
You have overcome a negative habit,
And are replacing it with this new positive habit of drinking water,
That wonderful,
Refreshing water.
In fact,
You might even be noticing right now that by just thinking about water,
Your mouth is beginning to become dry and parched.
This is your body's natural reaction to thirst.
You have more of a desire than ever before to drink that wonderful,
Crisp,
Refreshing water.
You know,
Now that you have stopped your addiction,
You'll find that you have more energy too.
Energy that will be needed to put to good use.
You will find yourself being able to move easier,
Feeling better about yourself,
As there are many things you can do that will help you to be healthier.
Maybe going for a short walk in the morning.
Maybe parking your car a little further away at work,
Or at the grocery store to get in a little more exercise.
You may even find yourself eating a little healthier.
All of these are a natural by-product of becoming healthier as you have just done.
And that's it.
Now repeat silently after me.
I am free from addiction.
I choose health and happiness.
I am strong and I have control over my actions.
I deserve to live a life free from addiction.
And imagine a version of yourself who is free from addiction.
This version of yourself is healthy,
Vibrant and full of life.
Picture yourself engaging in activities that bring you joy and fulfillment,
Without the need for addictive behaviors.
And visualize the benefits of being free from addiction.
Imagine more energy and a sense of pride and accomplishment.
You may place your hand over your heart if you like,
Feeling the warmth and energy there.
Imagine a golden light spreading from your heart throughout your body.
This light represents your strength and determination to overcome addiction.
Mentally repeat to yourself,
I am filled with the power to overcome addiction.
I am committed to a healthy,
Addiction-free life.
Think about the situations or emotions that trigger your addictive behavior.
Visualize yourself in these situations.
But this time,
See yourself responding differently.
Picture yourself using healthy coping mechanisms,
Taking deep breaths,
Going for a walk,
Talking to a supportive friend,
Or engaging in a hobby,
And feel the empowerment of making positive choices.
Now,
Let's imagine a future where you are completely free from addiction.
Picture yourself waking up every morning,
Feeling fresh and healthy,
And see yourself interacting with loved ones,
Confident in your ability to live addiction-free.
Visualize your life filled with positive experiences,
Free from the burden of addiction.
Let's plan some small rewards for yourself as you reach milestones in your journey to overcome addiction.
These rewards reinforce positive behavior and provide you with motivation.
Think about the people who support you in this journey.
Imagine their encouragement and love surrounding you,
Their support,
Strengthening your resolve.
Know that you're not alone.
You have a network of support helping you every step of the way.
You're also going to create a set of daily affirmations to remind yourself of your strength and commitment.
And you're going to repeat these affirmations every morning and night.
I am in control of my choices.
I choose health and happiness.
I am free from addiction today and always.
As you continue to relax,
Imagine yourself lying in a peaceful meadow.
The grass is soft beneath you.
And a gentle breeze caresses your skin.
Beyond the warmth of the sun on your face.
And here in the soothing sounds of nature around you.
Birds singing.
Leaves rustling.
And a distant stream flowing gently.
Allowing these peaceful sensations to move you deeper into relaxation.
Letting go of any remaining tension or thoughts.
Let's picture a cozy,
Inviting bed appearing in the meadow.
And you walk over to it.
Feeling the soft,
Comfortable sheets.
As you settle into the bed,
Feel your body sinking deeper into relaxation.
Your muscles are completely relaxed.
Your mind is calm.
And you feel a sense of deep peace.
Imagine a soft,
Warm blanket covering your body,
Providing a sense of security and comfort.
I will count down from ten to one.
And with each number,
You'll feel more and more relaxed.
Drifting closer to a deep,
Restful sleep.
Feeling your body becoming heavier and more relaxed.
Nine,
Your mind is calm and peaceful.
Eight,
Drifting deeper and deeper into relaxation.
Seven,
Feeling so comfortable and at ease.
Six,
Letting go of all thoughts and worries.
Five,
Your breath is slow and steady.
Four,
Your body is completely relaxed.
Three,
Your mind is quiet and still.
Two,
Feeling so peaceful and calm.
One,
Drifting into a deep,
Restful sleep.
Three,
You are now in a deep,
Restful sleep,
Free from the burden of addiction.
Your mind and body are healing.
And you are embracing a new healthy life.
Remember,
You are strong,
Capable,
And deserving of a life free from addiction.
Sleep well.
And whenever you're ready to come back to the present,
You'll wake up feeling refreshed.
And ready to embrace your new life.
Free from addiction.
Feel free to listen to this meditation regularly as part of your journey to overcome addiction.
And embrace a healthy,
Fulfilling life.
Stay committed.
And now,
Allow yourself to drift into peaceful,
Restorative sleep.
Thank you for listening,
And wish you the best in your recovery.
And sleep.
