Hi,
My name is Robert Aceves and I welcome you to this meditation to be happy.
In this meditation we're going to practice a simple and at the same time a very powerful technique that I use with my students.
For this meditation I'm going to ask you to go to a place where no one will interrupt you for a few minutes and where you can relax.
I'm going to ask you to sit in a position that is comfortable for you and with your back straight.
Let's begin.
Close your eyes.
That's it.
And now take a deep breath in and let it out.
That's it.
One more time.
Take a deep breath in and release.
That's it.
And now notice what are you thinking right now.
And now notice what are you feeling right now.
That's it.
And now we're going to practice experiencing happiness.
For this I'm going to ask you to think about what is happiness for you.
What makes you.
.
.
Perhaps you can think that your family makes you happy.
Perhaps you can think that your partner makes you happy.
Perhaps you can think that money is what makes you happy.
Or perhaps you can think that being healthy is what makes you happy.
Whatever it is,
Think about it and notice what thoughts come to your mind when you think about happiness.
That's it.
And now think about what is preventing you from being happy right now.
And if you're happy,
Keep thinking about what makes you happy.
But if you're not happy,
Think about what is it that is not allowing you to be happy right now.
That's it.
And now think about what is not letting you be happy.
And notice if there's anything you can do right now to get rid of that idea of what is not allowing you to be happy right now.
That's it.
And perhaps you may think that it's not possible to be happy right now.
Because what you want is not possible.
Perhaps it is because a loved one is no longer here.
Or because that position that you wanted so much could not be achieved.
Or perhaps your health doesn't allow you to be happy right now.
Or maybe you're at a very difficult point in your life and there's nothing that can help you feel better right now.
Or perhaps you just don't want to be happy.
Whatever it is,
Think about it.
And think about all the reasons you have right now to not be happy.
That's it.
And now feel whatever you want to feel and think whatever you want to think.
Perfect.
And now you're simply going to stay as you are for several minutes without moving and we're going to allow your mind to work in the background to adjust whatever needs to be adjusted so that you can experience great happiness in a few moments.
It is possible that in a few minutes you may experience great spontaneous happiness.
It is possible that at any moment you may realize that happiness doesn't come from the outside but that it is created from within.
It is also possible that in a few minutes you will realize that you do not need anything or anyone to be happy right now with yourself.
At any moment you may realize that there is nothing and no one who can harm you and make you feel bad other than yourself.
It is also possible that at any moment a feeling of joy will come to you and invade your body and mind with happiness.
And now you can continue to feel as unhappy as you want or perhaps something can change and you may experience a feeling of happiness at any time.
And again,
Notice how you're feeling now and notice if anything has changed in you and if not,
Notice what is it that doesn't want to change.
That's it.
And now stop thinking and don't do anything.
We're going to let go of everything for a few moments,
Allowing your body to relax for a few minutes and do absolutely nothing.
That's it.
And continue breathing,
Letting your mind do what it needs to do to achieve the changes it deems necessary.
That's it.
Open your eyes,
Stretching your body as if you just woke up from a very nice nap.
That's it.
I recommend practicing this meditation several times for best results.
Thank you so much for listening and I'll talk to you soon.
