And welcome to this 20 minute vocal meditation.
Find a comfortable seated position with a straight spine and relaxed shoulders.
Taking a deep breath in through the nose,
Exhaling out through the mouth.
Another deep breath in,
Sighing out audibly,
Inhaling one more time and on our exhale we'll start to hum,
Doing your best to match the tone.
Take a breath whenever you need to and just keep humming,
Filling yourself up with vibration,
Just focusing on listening and sounding your voice.
Now dropping our chin to sound ah,
We're clearing space,
Clearing our mind with ah,
Just keep sounding ah,
Taking a breath whenever you need to,
Not judging your voice,
Just observing.
Next we'll sound eh,
Just noticing the difference in the shape of your mouth again,
And energizing and uplifting syllable.
Now sliding from eh to eh,
And now sliding from eh to ah,
Moving into call and response where I'll sing a phrase twice so you can listen the first time and sing with me the second time.
