Hello and welcome.
My name is Raj Gorsia and today I'm going to be taking you through a module that I train people on and I use myself to become more effective,
To speak with poise,
To have an impact on the people that I'm engaging with.
And it's called The Power of Play.
We have powers,
Right?
As you're listening to this audio,
Perhaps you're attuning to my voice.
Perhaps you're attuning and you can feel already a rhythm to the way I'm speaking.
Perhaps it's having some kind of impact on you.
And the funny thing is,
Most of my life I would have been so serious and tense,
I would never have spoken like this.
And what's helped me the most,
Which I want you to take from this,
Is releasing some tension in my body and the tension in my eyebrows and other areas so that I can allow this thing which I'm calling play to come through.
So the first thing I want to invite you to do right now is to notice where anything might be tense.
Often it's the jaw is clenched,
Check your jaw right now,
Shoulders,
Hands,
The eyebrows,
Anywhere else.
So you can just notice and bring a little ease.
And then I want you to bring your attention towards the center of your body,
Heart,
The space inside.
Just observing.
And then see if you can find a little smile,
A little smile,
Just a little bit.
Yeah,
I think you're smiling right now,
I hope so.
And then watch your breath in your stomach,
Notice is the stomach a little tense.
You relax the belly and allow the breath to just move in and out.
You're trying to do it,
But allowing,
Allowing,
Allowing.
So yeah,
That smile,
Remember the smile?
And you have that breath,
Your body is lighter and looser.
And now just imagine someone in front of you,
Maybe you're going to see someone soon.
And just see them as a beautiful,
Beautiful,
Vibrant flower even,
Right,
Alive.
Maybe it's a person in your life,
Maybe it's someone you're going to work with soon.
Maybe just look at them in your mind's eye,
Feel into the vibration of the person,
The human being.
Find their smile,
So you have a smile,
They have a smile,
Body's relaxing a little bit more.
And this is the best way to get into what I've called the power of play,
Is through this observation,
Which you may call a meditative experience,
You're experiencing right now.
You may call it a bodily sense,
An energetic words,
Whatever words you choose.
I'm hoping you can feel this with me right now,
Smiling,
Relaxed,
Excited to connect with someone,
Grateful maybe.
So that's the power of play,
And it's been so helpful for me going from this extremely tense person to this person that is centered.
That's why we go to the heart,
It's in the center,
Right,
Isn't it centered,
Who is soft and who can still be highly confident and sharp.
So I'm going to leave the audio there,
Doesn't matter who I've worked with,
I've realized over and over,
Bringing in the power of play as a bodily felt sense inside and then bringing it outside to the world,
That's the next part you get to play with.
It makes us more effective,
And I use the word effective on purpose,
So I hope this has helped you with your power,
The power you have through the playfulness you have within your body.
So we'll leave it there,
And have a wonderful day.
