Welcome.
My name is Kara and I'm going to be leading you on this guided meditation today.
I'd like to invite you to find a comfortable position that allows you to feel supported and nurtured.
There is no right or wrong here,
Only what feels good in your body in this moment.
Once you find yourself there,
If it feels safe to do so,
Allow your eyes to drift closed or allow your gaze to soften so that you are able to focus your attention inward.
I'd like to invite you today to imagine a blank canvas in front of you.
This canvas is as large as you'd like it to be.
On the ground around you is a wide array of paints and glue and ribbons and glitter and tissue paper and almost anything else you can possibly imagine that you might want to create with.
As you look at the canvas,
You begin to see just the faintest flicker,
Like the canvas is calling you and inviting you to play.
Today the canvas is asking you to show your truest inner self all of that shining light that is within you.
You grab the first item that calls to you,
Perhaps it's a paintbrush,
Maybe some glue and some ribbon,
Whatever is asking to find its way onto the canvas.
Don't hesitate,
Place it wherever feels right and begin.
Move as quickly as feels natural to you,
Offering your light and your joy and your hope to the canvas,
Knowing it will be accepted and beautiful exactly as it lands.
Trust yourself in this process.
Choose colors with wild abandon.
Throw glitter in the air and let it land wherever it may.
Express the parts of you that feel safe to show to the world and then step back.
Take a moment.
Breathe deeply.
Feel the ground beneath you.
Maybe grow a little taller.
Look at your canvas.
See what you've already created and then step back in because your canvas is still calling to you.
You see,
It wants you to show all of your truth,
Not just the parts that feel safe.
It wants your deep,
Rich darkness as well.
It is time to choose again.
Pick up the color that speaks to your darkness,
To your pain or to your anger and don't hesitate.
Offer this to the canvas of your truth as well.
Again,
Trust yourself to know what needs to be expressed here.
You don't need to put it all on the canvas today.
Just whatever needs to come out in this moment.
And when it has released itself onto the canvas,
Step back again and breathe.
Feel the ground again beneath you and look at your canvas again.
Truly look at this amazing expression of your truth.
A truth that honors not only the easy parts of you,
But the hard parts as well.
See the whole.
See the beauty in the balance of light and dark.
Take a moment now to acknowledge that this is the place that you are in,
In this moment.
And then take a second to zoom out,
If you will,
And see that your canvas is infinite.
Your supplies for creation are infinite.
You can return to this canvas again and again throughout your life and continue to create this person that you are and the person you will become.
And the greatest beauty of all is that this canvas is unique to you.
You can share whatever of it you might like with others,
But this grand work of art that is you,
No one else will ever be able to copy or reproduce.
Take another deep breath and with it take one more look at your canvas today.
Knowing that next time you visit,
It will grow and change as you have grown and changed.
Perhaps if it feels good to you in this moment,
Take a moment of gratitude.
Appreciate your bravery in this space.
And then allow your canvas to fade away just for now.
Landing back into your body gently,
Coming back to your breath to help ground you.
Following your inhale and your exhale as the air becomes breath and the breath becomes air.
Continuing the slow return into your body and into your space,
Perhaps inviting a little bit of movement in.
Wiggling your fingers,
Your toes,
Maybe gently rocking your head side to side or even inviting in a little bit of a sway.
Or perhaps your body is calling for some movement that's completely different.
Whatever just feels right for you today,
Now.
Without rushing,
When you are ready,
Allow your eyes to flutter open if they're closed or perhaps blinking to bring yourself back into your space.
I encourage you to continue to move with care,
Offering yourself gentleness and kindness as you return into your day.
Thank you so much for joining me for this practice.
With love and gratitude,
I wish you peace.
