Hi there.
This is Rachel from Therapist Spills the Tea and thanks for joining me for Mindfulness Moment.
This one is a deep introspection on release.
Start by getting into a comfortable position.
Getting into a rhythm with your breath.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Just taking a few deep breaths here.
Next,
Take a moment to tune into your body.
Bringing attention to the parts of your body that might be holding tension.
Relaxing the shoulders,
Letting them fall heavy.
Releasing any tension in the neck,
The jaw,
The face muscles.
Just finding a sense of ease and softness here.
For this introspection,
I invite you to carry the intention of release and letting go.
I invite you to be open and vulnerable as to where your thoughts and emotions might lead you.
Letting it all flow naturally.
When you think of release,
What release might be beneficial to you right now?
Is it pain?
Is it a behavior,
An emotion,
A mindset?
Is your release a part of you that no longer serves you?
What release might be beneficial to you?
What are you letting go of?
It might be one thing or a few different things.
What are you releasing?
Now take a moment to explore.
Go deeper and visualize this constraint.
When you think of this constraint,
I invite you to visualize a dark cloud hovering over you.
This dark cloud,
Has it been following you for a short time,
A long time?
Has it changed in shape,
Size,
Intensity?
Is this dark cloud more present during specific times?
Within this dark cloud,
You may hold sadness,
A heavy rain,
Maybe anger and strikes of lightning.
Maybe the need to be heard,
Thunder.
What components do you see within the dark cloud hovering over you?
Visualize this.
Next,
I invite you to bring awareness to how this dark cloud or this constraint is holding you back.
Is it holding you back from happiness,
From receiving love,
From being vulnerable?
Is it holding you back from an opportunity,
A more fulfilling and happy life?
What is this dark cloud,
This constraint holding you back from?
Moving forward,
I invite you to think about what can be done for that dark cloud to disappear,
To evaporate,
To move far,
Far away.
What can you do in your power to let the sun shine through?
Is it facing an emotion,
Letting yourself feel?
Is it opening up and being vulnerable with yourself or others?
Radical acceptance without the bitterness.
Asking for help,
Support.
Is it extending some self-love and tenderness to yourself?
What do you need?
What is it for a release of that dark cloud?
What do you need?
And what would life be like?
Would you see yourself smiling more?
Would you feel a sense of ease,
Maybe empowerment?
Connection.
Authentically you.
What would life be like?
What would you feel?
What would be different?
Deepening your release here,
I invite you to picture yourself standing at the edge of the ocean with that dark cloud over you.
You and your vulnerable self.
You're right at the water's edge,
Feeling the waves just touch your toes,
The breeze roll over your skin.
Visualize yourself here.
And slowly and deeply breathing in here,
An inhalation.
And as you exhale,
That dark cloud moving out into the ocean.
Every exhale moving further and further out.
Inhaling light and exhaling darkness,
That dark cloud.
As we wrap up here,
I invite you to envision yourself with no dark cloud,
No dark,
Just light.
Really seeing yourself here with your release.
Letting go.
Taking a few more deep breaths here and thanking yourself for this release.
Thanks for joining me and I'll see you next time.
