Hi there,
This is Rachel from Therapist Spills the Tea and thanks for joining me for a mindfulness moment.
This one is an introspection on gratitude.
I invite you to get into a comfortable position and gently closing your eyes.
I invite you to think about gratitude,
Taking a few deep breaths here at your own pace and what feels comfortable to you,
Inhaling the gratitude around you and exhaling the gratitude you give out to others,
To the world.
Think of being thankful,
Being proud,
Being appreciative.
Think of surrounding yourself with love,
Support,
Kindness,
Joy,
Happiness and embrace this around you.
Now I invite you to think about what gratitude means to you.
How do you acknowledge gratitude in your life and do you practice gratitude?
What do you appreciate and love about nature?
What about some of your materialistic things or special treasures?
How do you share your gratitude to others?
Do you give your loved ones hugs?
Do you verbally express your appreciation to others?
What friendships are you grateful for?
What makes you smile when you're with your friends and loved ones?
What about your family?
How does your family support you and what are you grateful for?
How do you know that you are loved?
And how do you show yourself love and gratitude?
Just thinking about gratitude and the many realms that it can come in.
Next I invite you to think about how you can deepen your gratitude,
Expand your gratitude practice.
Is it saying thank you,
I appreciate you?
Is it taking a moment to think about the happy things,
The things that make you smile?
Is it taking an extra second to be in nature,
Do something fun for yourself?
Is it just taking a few deep breaths?
The possibilities are endless.
What feels right to you and your gratitude in your life?
What feels right to you?
How may you expand your gratitude practice?
I invite you to gently place your hand over your heart,
Taking a deep breath here.
And as we wrap up,
Take a moment to thank yourself for taking a moment to slow down and think about gratitude and how you can expand.
Taking a few more deep breaths here,
Inhaling gratitude,
Exhaling gratitude you give out to others.
And when you are ready,
Gently opening your eyes and coming back to the space around you.
Thanks for joining me and I'll see you next time.
