Hi there,

This is Rachel from Therapist Spills the Tea and thanks for joining me for a mindfulness moment.

This one is expanding your breathwork.

Getting into a comfortable position,

Feet flat on the ground,

Allowing for connection to your root chakra and mother earth,

I invite you to gently close your eyes,

Softening your face here,

Releasing any tension you may be holding in the body,

Just finding a sense of ease and groundedness here.

For this mini mindfulness moment,

I invite you to engage in breathwork with intentional focus on your breath,

Exploring your breath a little bit deeper,

Starting with an inhale through the nose and exhale through the nose or mouth,

I invite you to play around and see if you prefer an exhalation through the nose or an exhalation through the mouth.

Do you prefer one over the other,

Maybe switching back and forth?

Play around with your breath and find what feels most comfortable to you.

Breathing in and breathing out,

I invite you to notice the different sensations and sounds with each inhale and exhale,

Breathing in and breathing out,

Just examining,

Feeling and being present with your breath here.

I invite you to explore deepening and lengthening your breath,

Taking a little bit longer inhalation and a little bit longer exhalation,

Breathing in and breathing out,

Inhaling and exhaling,

Just staying present and intentional with your breath here.

I invite you to notice a pause or break between each inhalation and exhalation,

This very natural space between your inhale and exhale,

Just taking note of this floating gap,

Breathing in,

Noticing the gap,

And breathing out,

Inhaling and exhaling,

Finding peace and serenity within that gap that is often overlooked with the rush of life,

Inhaling and exhaling,

Engaging with your breath in this present and intentional way for a few moments longer,

And when you are ready,

Gently opening your eyes and coming back to the space around you.

Thanks for joining me and I'll see you next time.
