In this practice, you are invited to deepen your relationship with your breath. When you are familiar with your breath, the way it moves, how it feels, and how it sounds, you become more attuned to when it is trying to signal something to you. You feel more connected, calmer & more deeply connected to your intuition.

This practice will dive deeper into the observation of the breath.

Getting more familiar with your breath is essential in this process,

As if you don't know how your breath feels,

You can't know when it has changed or shifted.

So,

Sitting comfortably,

Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out and draw your attention towards your breath.

Allow your breath to be natural,

No need to control.

Simply notice the breath drawing in and out of the body.

Start to notice the movement that your body makes as you breathe,

From the bigger movements of the chest,

Maybe the shoulders or the belly,

To the smaller,

Subtler movements of the parts of your body that are further away from your lungs and chest.

Just simply observe this expansion as you breathe in and this softening or contraction as you breathe out.

Notice the sound your body makes as you breathe.

Is there a difference between the sound of your inhale and the sound of your exhale?

Being present to whatever is there.

Noticing the quality of your breath.

Is it smooth or stiff?

Bumpy or fluid?

Perhaps it has a staccato aspect quality to it.

Without judgment,

Just observe.

Where does your breath originate from in your body?

And where does it return back to?

And what is the vibe of your breath?

Does it feel easy?

Hard?

Nourishing and life-giving?

Does it feel restricted and dense?

What is the vibe of your breath?

Don't judge anything.

Just simply observe.

And beginning to slowly wrap up this practice.

Releasing any observation of the breath.

Take a couple of full,

Deep,

Cleansing breaths.

Coming back into your day.
