Welcome to this guided beach meditation.
You can use this anytime you need to feel refreshed and peaceful.
I invite you to find a comfortable and quiet place to sit or lie down.
And when you're ready,
Just simply close your eyes.
Begin by taking a few deep breaths and releasing any tension from your body.
Breathing in awareness of this moment and letting go.
Letting go of anything that doesn't serve you.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Just a few more gentle breaths.
And then with your next out breath,
Begin to imagine yourself standing on a sandy beach.
The sun is shining bright and the waves gently are crashing on the shore.
A cool ocean breeze brushes against your skin and the sound of seagulls can be heard in the distance.
As you picture this scene,
Take a deep breath in.
And as you begin to exhale,
Feel all your worries and stress slip away.
Let go of everything that is troubling you and simply be in this present moment.
Begin to visualize yourself walking along the beach,
Feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin and the soft sands between your toes.
The water is crystal clear and the sun is shining down,
Making the water sparkle like diamonds.
The waters of this ocean are completely safe and just the right temperature for you.
Allow yourself to hear and to see the beauty of this ocean that surrounds you.
And as you take another breath in,
Beginning to exhale,
Just imagine yourself diving into the ocean,
Feeling the cool water all around you.
You swim and float,
Letting this fresh water cleanse and clear your mind.
There's your mind and your body and your spirit gently floating,
Allowing all your worries and stresses to simply float away.
Spend some more time in this beautiful water,
Enjoying the sensation of being fully present in this moment.
Simply floating,
Releasing all tension and all worries.
And just spend a few more breaths right here in this peaceful,
Stress-free place.
When you're ready,
Imagine yourself walking back to the shore and laying down or sitting down in the warm sand.
Focus on the sensation of the sun and the breeze on your skin and the sound of the waves in your ears.
Feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed with each breath,
More and more present to this moment.
Take just a few more cleansing breaths before we return.
And when you're ready,
Slowly get up from the sand and walk back out the beach,
Knowing that you can keep these peaceful feelings as you return to your daily life.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Knowing that you can return to this place of peace and calm any time you need,
Simply by closing your eyes and imagining yourself back on the beach.
