Welcome to the present moment. The moment we all share together, breathing, heart-beating as one. This beautiful meditation is about mindfulness and draws our focus to the breath as a key to unlocking inner stillness. Through engaging our sensory awareness, we arrive in the present, and may find a sense of peaceful joy that arises as we awaken to the miracle of the here and now.

Welcome to the present moment,

The here and the now.

This moment is one that we all share together,

Breathing,

Heart beating as one.

This moment is the infinite and the ever expanding crescendo of our liveness,

The very epitome of existence.

Take a few moments to get settled into the now.

Once you've found a comfortable place to relax,

Allow your hands to come to rest gently in your lap.

Relax the muscles of your face.

And close down your eyes.

Begin to deepen your breath as you find length in your spine on your inhales and spaciousness in your heart as you roll your shoulders back on your exhale.

Take three long inhales,

Feeling your belly expand as you find nourishment and aliveness through your breath,

Pausing at the top and emptying all your air out on your exhale.

As you continue to breathe and relax your body and your mind,

Take a moment to really arrive in the present moment,

To feel the moment.

Notice the quality of the air as you breathe in and out through your nose,

Feeling the coolness of the air as you inhale and the warmth of the air as you exhale.

Place one hand over your heart and take a few moments to just listen and feel your heartbeat.

Let its simple rhythm calm you,

Relax you,

And remind you of your aliveness,

Your beingness in the here and now.

Now I want you to see if you can notice the presence of the air and the space around you.

As you do this,

Continue to breathe deeply and fully,

Listening to any sounds you may hear in your environment,

Noticing any sensations you feel in your body,

And remaining unattached to any of these sensations and sounds.

Just simply being alive and present in the living moment of your now.

Repeat after me.

Breathing in,

I calm my body and mind.

Breathing out,

I smile.

Living in this present moment,

This is a wonderful moment.

You are alive within a living life,

An animated existence happening right here and right now.

Put yourself in the context of eternity.

See if you can see yourself in this moment from a few feet above your body,

Looking down upon the wholeness of you within this moment with fresh and expansive eyes.

This is a wonderful moment indeed,

As precious as any that have ever been or will be.

This is the cumulation point of eternity.

At one point our earth was just dust swirling in space,

And now there is you sitting here.

How wonderful,

Miraculous,

And perfect this moment is.

As often as you can remember throughout the day,

Say to yourself,

Breathing in,

I calm my body and mind.

Breathing out,

I smile.

Living in this present moment,

This is a wonderful moment.

And really feel the wonder of this moment and the reality of your aliveness.

This is your present.

There's only one place to be,

And it's now.

We have arrived.

I am here with you in this moment,

Alive,

And I'm so appreciative to have you here with me now.

She is the absolute best for these short but fully substantial and effective meditations. The guidance is always clear but it is always gentle and feels authentically heartfelt as opposed to just giving instructions.
