Hello and welcome.
This meditation today is more of an affirmation than a meditation.
And it's created to help free you of the imaginary chains that bind your behavior and help set you free to just be yourself.
This practice of claiming your right is perfect for you if you're the type of person who gets bumped into and apologizes,
Or when something goes wrong around you,
You either feel that you're to blame or that you're responsible to fix it.
And so if you often find yourself afraid of saying or doing the wrong thing,
Hurting other people's feelings,
Being misunderstood,
Embarrassed,
Or seen as a bad human,
Then this process is for you.
The truth is,
Everyone has an idea of who and how you should be.
Sometimes you'll measure up,
And sometimes you won't.
But you have to remember that only you have the power to determine your worth and your value.
Within each and every one of us rests the whole spectrum of humanity,
The good and the bad.
It's only when you come to terms with your polarities and give yourself the space to live through them that you can transcend them.
Now before we begin,
I want to clarify that this practice is not about pushing against anyone else,
Because how you feel is always 100% your responsibility.
What this practice is really about is silencing those thoughts of doubt,
Shame,
And guilt that keep you away from your joy and your ability to be your most vibrant self.
So take a deep breath,
And as you exhale,
Just get settled in here.
Allow your thoughts to slow down and just fizzle away.
And breathe again,
Just like that.
Inhale.
And exhale.
And exhale.
Now I'm going to repeat some statements,
And I only want you to repeat after me if it resonates with you.
The first group are to set you free from being so hard on yourself,
And the second set are to help you step into your power as a divine and wonderful being.
And if you feel any resistance,
Let that be okay.
Just keep your heart open and your breath big.
Are you ready?
Here we go.
I,
Insert your name here,
Claim my right to be a human being.
I claim my right to make mistakes.
I claim my right to be angry.
I claim my right to look bad.
I claim my right to embarrass myself.
I claim my right to have a bad day.
I claim my right to do a bad job.
I claim my right to disappoint people.
Inhale deeply.
And exhale.
All is well.
Continue to repeat after me.
I claim my right to shine.
I claim my right to be the center of attention.
I claim my right to care deeply about things.
I claim my right to love what I love.
I claim my right to bask and take pleasure in things.
I claim my right to be loved and adored.
I claim my right to be valued and appreciated.
I claim my right to be beautiful.
I claim my right to be divine.
Take a nice deep breath in and exhale fully with a sigh.
And once again,
Claiming your right doesn't mean you go around being purposefully mean or careless or selfish.
Instead,
It's about giving yourself permission to be human.
Flaws,
Mistakes,
Missteps and all.
Because it's okay.
Truly.
Claiming your right is an internal process of softening tension and letting go of tight or fearful thoughts.
And by doing so,
You open yourself up to be fully present and peaceful in the moment.
And now you have something to give.
If this process resonates with you,
Use it anytime you feel yourself tensing up or holding onto a past mistake or even if you feel embarrassed or fearful about how others are perceiving you.
Simply claim your right to be how you are and then move forward with love.
Get on with your free flowing beautiful life.
Because you deserve to feel good and you deserve to be free.
And you're far,
Far,
Far,
Far too important to waste any time otherwise.
With all my blessings and love,
Namaste.
