Welcome,

My name is Jade Alexis,

I offer you this 15 minute meditation to help you move into a place of deep relaxation,

You might even drift off to sleep.

Find yourself on your back,

Find a Shavasana pose,

The same place you'd usually end a yoga class in,

Flat on your back,

Your arms are at your sides,

Your palms face up,

Make sure your feet are about hip width apart,

Your toes fall out naturally to the sides,

Your arms are away from your body,

Your palms face up,

The back of your head is resting on the earth,

Close your eyes,

Take a nice deep inhale through your nose,

Feel your belly expand as you inhale,

As big as you can make your belly,

Your lungs filled with air at the top of your inhale,

Exhale slowly out your mouth,

Do that twice more on your own now,

After your last exhale,

Allow your breath to resume normal,

Make sure your body is completely still,

Make any last minute adjustments now,

Try to remain completely still for the remainder of this practice,

If at any point you feel like you really need to move,

There are no hard and fast rules,

Feel free to move if you must,

To help rotate consciousness and find stillness over your entire body,

I will guide you through a body scan,

As I name a body part,

Only your mind moves,

Your body will remain completely still,

Remember only your mind moves,

Bring your awareness to your right hand,

The palm of your hand,

The back of your hand,

Your right thumb and to the soles of your feet,

Your entire body is completely still,

Notice your body is still but your breath continues to come and go,

Every time you inhale,

Your belly expands as you exhale,

Your navel moves towards your spine,

Count your breath,

Start at the number 7,

Work your way down to the number 1,

If you get to 1 before you hear my voice,

Start back at 7,

If your mind wanders,

You lose track of count,

Start back at 7,

Begin with me,

Inhale 7,

Exhale 7,

Inhale 6,

Exhale 6,

Continue on your own,

As if you were standing outside on a hot,

Hot summer day,

As if you were standing outside on a cold,

Cold winter day,

Visualize yourself standing on a beach,

You are standing on the sand,

You see it's morning time and you see the sun start to come up out from the ocean,

Watch the sun slowly rise up,

Imagine you see many shooting stars simultaneously fill in the sky,

Like a beautiful firework show,

If you need to end now,

Place one hand on your heart space,
