Hello dear ones,
In this meditation we will evoke Ananda,
Bliss,
From within our beings.
This bliss won't be coming from outside of ourselves,
We will use the power of the past,
Of memories,
To bring Ananda into this present moment and you will learn how to keep evoking bliss into any moment moving forward.
As we begin,
Allow yourself to make any adjustments needed to be a little more comfortable.
Feel your spine long and relaxed,
Tuck the chin in slightly,
Elongating the neck.
Close your eyes and turn inside.
Take a deep breath in through the nose,
Down past the heart and into the belly.
Slowly exhale from the base of the belly,
Past the heart and out the nose.
Again inhale deeply,
Exhale allow the body to relax.
Feel your shoulders ease,
Your face soften,
Your whole body becoming lighter.
With each breath let go of any tension,
Any thoughts of the day.
Settle into this stillness.
Allow your awareness to settle into your heart space.
Take a deep breath into the heart,
Feel it expand.
Exhale settle even deeper into the heart.
Continue breathing in and out of the heart space and begin to recall a memory of reuniting with a loved one.
This can be a lover,
A parent,
A friend,
A pet,
Anyone you love.
Let the memory arise naturally,
No need to force it,
Just notice what comes to mind.
Allow yourself to sink deeper into this memory.
Recall the moments before reunion,
The feeling of missing them,
The feeling of excitement about to see them.
Feel the memory progress to the exact moment of reunion.
Feel how it felt to finally embrace again.
Step into this memory as if you are reliving it right now.
Look around,
What do you see,
The colors,
The light,
The details of the space.
Feel the hug,
The moment of reunion vividly again.
Feel the love,
The joy,
The bliss and peace within the heart.
Notice the warmth,
The happiness,
The deep contentment spreading throughout you.
Slowly allow all images of the memory to fade,
But keep the feeling alive within the heart.
Allow this feeling to grow as if you are bathing in it completely.
Allow yourself to fully be absorbed in this joy.
If the feeling starts to fade,
Recall the memory again.
Stay with the joy and allow the images to fade.
Let the joy radiate from your heart,
Spreading like a soft golden light.
Feel it filling up your entire body,
Your chest,
Your arms,
Your fingertips,
Flowing down through your legs,
Into your toes.
You are glowing with Ananda,
Every cell in your being,
Alive with this bliss.
Let it grow even further,
Expanding beyond your body,
Merging with the space around you.
There is no limit to this bliss,
It is infinite,
And you are one with it.
Rest here in this deep expansive joy.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in,
And exhale slowly.
Know that this bliss is always yours to keep.
You can use your own memories as a power to evoke bliss into any moment.
Your nervous system does not know the difference between the past and what is happening right now.
Every time you evoke Ananda,
Your body is releasing the same hormones as if it is happening right now.
This bliss is abundant,
And it is always yours to tap into.
Whenever you need to,
You can return to this place of joy.
Begin to bring the awareness back to the body.
Feel your fingertips,
Your toes,
The weight of the body where you sit or lie.
Gently,
When you are ready,
Open your eyes,
Keeping the bliss alive.
