Living Inside The Cult Of Mechanization And Technology
With her signature humor and ability to put words to vague perceptions and feelings, together with her healing touch, Premasudha's work is life changing. She has a truly great knack of assisting people out of the emotional prison of their ego/intellect into true freedom. This means that sometimes even serious diseases disappear too, as part of the emotional shift into a new more love-based understanding.

I'm sure it's a really big shock for people who are brought up in a cult if they decide to leave and they have to,
You know,
Interface with the world,
Go earn a living and just deal with people who haven't been brought up in the same way.
And they must,
I would think,
Run into a lot of obstacles just because their thinking is different.
You know,
The definition of a cult is a group with a commitment to a particular ideology and often one with a belief system that has all the answers to life's problems.
And you know,
I think we in the West,
We're in a bit of a cult and we don't realize it,
But our cult is,
You know,
The Industrial Revolution and technology and we're absolutely blinded by it and it is just about a 300 year period which is so different for the thousands and thousands and thousands of years that human beings have lived close to nature and in reverence for nature.
And I think we're getting feedback,
It is not working.
Mother Nature's causing havoc,
Mental illness is rising exponentially and just chronic diseases as well and you know,
There's kind of a loss of meaning.
Okay,
So you know,
In ancient cultures,
Small groups of people lived and they would,
You know,
Work the land or,
You know,
Hunt and gather and they did it in reverence for nature.
And the children were around,
You know,
They'd be working with the women in the fields.
One would wear,
Would carry a baby,
You know,
On her back for a couple of years.
So the baby has that two years of feeling so close and safe to the mum and you know,
There are these,
Because this is thousands and thousands of years,
When babies are born,
There's the expectation of that happening,
A subtle expectation of a repeat because it's happened so much in human existence.
But really we're doing the opposite.
We have caesareans,
A third of the birds are caesareans and you know,
Some of which would be necessary but not all.
So the mum is trying to bond over,
You know,
Major wounding and there's this,
You know,
Rush to get back to work or the child,
You know,
Goes into daycare.
So you know,
All of the early years in the ancient time were spent very safe with lots of familiar people and where the children could organically,
You know,
Just run and,
You know,
Talk to one mum or,
You know,
Another person or play for a while and then run and do something else and they had their friends.
So it wasn't like one mum chasing after kids all day.
So you know,
Abraham,
The Hawaiian Kahuna with whom I studied,
Used to say,
If you take really good care of the zero to six period,
Which Western psychology knows is just crucial for adulthood,
He said,
You know,
You can let go of the hand at six,
Meaning that the kid can function then very kind of quite independently if their very early needs,
Emotional needs for bonding are met but we don't do that.
We do the opposite actually.
We're not there in the early years.
We've got this widespread,
You know,
Focus on material wealth and where we put objects ahead of people and we,
You know,
It's an expression,
You know,
Instead of using objects and loving people,
We love objects and use people.
Well this really shows in our neglect of what we know are the important years of childhood and we talk about them as if they're important but actually what we do,
We're,
Lots of times,
You know,
Unwittingly parents are so busy that it's almost like the children become objects to them.
In fact,
Because of the lack of the bonding,
What we're doing is we're creating really alienated people who are very alienated from their hearts and their deeper wisdom.
Now these are the people that might work in a very narrow range of,
You know,
In a technological society,
Mechanistic technological society.
You know they'd be,
They're not going to probably want to spend too much time with their families,
You know.
They may be way more bonded to the television than their mom,
So you see what we're doing.
Then you know when these people become adults and then have to form relationships,
You know,
It's hard for them.
You know in ancient times,
In the old days,
The boys,
Young men,
Around 16,
They would be given a rite of passage to adulthood so they'd be like put on a mountaintop for like three days with the animals without,
You know,
Warm clothes or anything and they'd have to survive it and,
You know,
And survive their terror,
Probably.
You know and the point of it was,
The hope was they get so uncomfortable and scared that they would bond to the transcendent.
They would touch into their soul for help because that's actually when it's easiest to access your soul in a way is in extreme circumstances.
Is that Buzz Aldridge who,
You know,
One of the astronauts that went to the moon,
He had,
You know,
He had a peak experience.
He just had a big spiritual experience and he came back a different man.
That's because there is no pattern for humanity that existed for how you land on the moon.
So it was kind of now for something completely different.
So he stepped right outside his ego and had a spiritual experience.
So this is the point for these young men that they have a spiritual experience and they bond to something beyond themselves.
Now this is really good for the male psychology,
You know,
To bond to something beyond themselves.
So it makes for men who are,
Could serve the collective,
Who will be less selfish and since the spiritual experience comes in through the female side,
It would assist them integrating their own female side and being balanced with the male and female.
What are we doing?
The guys,
You know,
They're not,
They maybe not even had a mom at home,
You know,
Or,
You know,
Their mom's working full time,
Maybe two jobs to support them and maybe they're playing video games for hours and hours and hours,
Violent video games.
Okay and we expect a happy ending from this.
This is,
See,
This is our normal and it's so far away from what humanity has been doing for thousands and thousands of years.
So it's a bit worrisome.
Now the good news is,
You know,
Small groups of people have,
Individuals and small groups of people have always changed the world.
And that was the expression,
You know,
When the good men don't do anything that's when,
You know,
Evil takes over.
And in this case it's ignorance,
You know.
Evil's always ignorance because really if people knew the cost they'd have to pay in karma for any,
You know,
Negative or hurtful deed they do,
They would not do it.
So it's always ignorance.
So we,
You know,
I'm hoping that more,
As more and more of us wake up and especially as women wake up and start to value their feminine intuition and knowing and act on it and bring it forward.
I mean my boys were young teenagers just when games occurred,
You know,
When games came on.
And I didn't really pay attention,
You know,
They played games,
They got games,
They played.
And then there,
I noticed their energy was getting so odd.
I wasn't anything they said or did like to me but it was just I noticed after they sat for hours playing games they just seemed off.
So I bought all their games.
I bought all their games and then forbade any in the house.
So I figured,
You know,
They're going to play with their friends but at least not at my house.
You know,
We women can take our power anytime.
I mean I really knew those games were not good for my sons who I was trying to raise compassionate thoughtful men.
Yeah.
So I think we need to open our eyes and do what we can.
What I notice when I'm talking to people over the internet,
Clients or just conversations with people,
I notice how much the Wakened people all think the same way.
It's a pretty united point of view,
You know,
Of common sense coming down to the ground.
You know,
Not a lot of dogma,
Just kind of got to wake up.
So you know,
I think just seeing this in stark relief,
If you start seeing how off our culture is getting and you know,
Take some constructive action,
You know,
Meditating is a really constructive action.
You know,
Prayer is a really constructive action.
You know,
I guess if one's demonstrating,
I mean demonstrate with as much compassion and understanding as possible so it doesn't turn into just a big hay fest,
You know.
Anyway,
We need to rise a wisdom and maybe see that returned,
Maybe some of the slower ways of ancient humanity.
Maybe,
You know,
Not working so hard and just asking to become wiser,
Focus on wisdom.
I mean,
Part of the problem is with this kinds of our imprinting on our children,
The kind of children we're developing are getting thicker shells and so that makes it even harder to listen to the heart or listen to intuition.
So maybe we really need to look at our child rearing and take better care of the early years.
I think that'd be a fantastic start.
Yeah.
Okay,
You guys.
Okay,
Bless your hearts.

That was a great talk Premasudha! I think of my childhood and my parents both worked. I can see the disconnect in my parenting from the way I was raised. I try these days to be more present day to day, get my cuddles in, listen to them and just give love and receive it. It’s tough when some things are my nature naturally. But we all have to do better. There’s been much debate about the usefulness of video games and mental sharpness. My husband likes to think they are necessary because that’s what he had growing up. But he also had a working mom who wasn’t available to him for nurturing. So he was raised by his surroundings essentially. I don’t want that for my kids. I keep wondering why technology is so glitchy these days. And it appears it is for a good reason. We are suppose to unplug. More outside time in nature, more gardening and foraging, more being with people and caring about each other. It’s all necessary. Love it and love you. Thank you for the talk. ❤️🤗❤️🤗

It’s hard to acknowledge that our society is a technological cult... yet what you say rings true ... I have always felt trapped in this materialistic world of the West where as you say, we use people more than we use things... I feel this at work often... may the Eastern perspective you bring give us more peace in The West ❤️
