I am strong enough to handle life and the beautiful challenges placed on my path.
And I'm wise enough to dance in her blessings.
Life is this beautiful dance of interchangeable partners.
Sometimes we dance with grace.
She's fluid.
Her ways are magical.
And she reminds us that life is constantly changing.
And if we open up to her wisdom,
Our change doesn't have to be hard or difficult.
It can be amazing.
It can be life affirming.
And sometimes the dance partner changes.
And it can be grief.
Grief that swells up in your body and puts everything to a halt.
But the truth is,
Dancing with grief or shame or grace or beauty,
They're really all the same.
Each one holds a lesson.
One that has the capacity to allow us to explore ourselves and our bodies.
One that allows us to become more of who we're meant to become.
And oftentimes,
When the partner is shame or grief or sadness,
We become blocked off.
We think it's the end and that maybe we did something wrong.
But the truth is,
Life is a cycle of expanding and deflating.
Life and death shrinking and growing,
Expanding and contracting,
And all these things.
My invitation is the next time this comes up,
This uncomfortable or unpleasant feeling,
Is that you begin to explore those feelings,
Those sensations with curiosity.
With a childlike interest,
Not clinging to a desired outcome.
Rather allowing that experience to cultivate a new,
Deeper,
And richer understanding of the resilience that you hold in your body.
Of the resilience that is waiting to come to the forefront,
To assist you,
To move you,
To hold you.
There is nothing that we aren't capable of.
And the truth is,
Water allows us to grow.
And that water has to go from the top of the soil all the way to the bottom.
And some things have to be drained out so that we can welcome more nutrients into the soil,
Into the roots.
And we have to expel situations,
Ideas,
Concepts,
People,
Images that no longer serve us.
How are you holding on to things that are toxic in your life?
Maybe it's the words that you're using.
Maybe it's the way that you respond to challenges.
Maybe it's the reflections you're choosing to keep around you.
Wherever you are,
Go ahead and take what I call a pause for the cause.
A moment to allow yourself to be fully present.
If it feels good,
You can find a comfortable seat.
You can come to lie all the way down on the floor,
Allowing yourself to be held and nurtured.
We'll take a big breath together,
Allowing our nervous system,
Our bodies,
Our minds to reset.
Take a deep inhale through the nose and feel for allowing the belly,
The chest,
The shoulders,
The crown of the head to expand in all directions.
And when you get to the top,
Hold the breath for a moment or two,
Allowing the breath here to gather and collect anything and everything that no longer serves you.
From the exhale,
Sigh it out through the mouth,
Allowing the shoulders to melt away from the ear.
Feel for releasing any clenching or gripping that you may or may not be experiencing in the body,
In the toes,
Around the knees,
Shoulders,
The abdomen,
Your fingertips,
Your jaw,
Your brow.
Bring into your mind three things that you feel you lack.
And imagine that the womb of the mother that we're in,
That she is pouring into you,
Those things.
Start to visualize roots from below,
Soil coming up,
Almost like plugging into your body.
And roots from above going down and plugging to the front of your body,
Pouring into you this wisdom,
Your perceived ideas of lack that you think you don't have,
And this energy permeating throughout your body.
From the crown of your head,
To your shoulders,
All the way down to your hips,
To your legs.
And then imagine everything that you don't need is being drained out of your body,
Out of your thoughts.
You're releasing,
Dumping.
At any moment,
We can choose to release.
At any moment,
We can choose to change.
We can change our dance partner.
We can change our thoughts and begin to welcome a new energy through the lens of curiosity,
Knowing that we are resilient,
That we are loved,
That we are healed and healing,
That we are masculine and feminine,
That we are the warrior within our spirit,
That we create a vision,
Purpose,
And integrity,
And that we have the ability to release anything that brings us pain or suffering.
Take as much time as you need to release anything that doesn't bring you joy,
Anything that doesn't bring you happiness.
Know that you are an infinite ocean of possibilities waiting to be explored and tapped into.
I pray you see the magic that you are and that every day you light the spark.
I pray you see the magic that you are and that every day you light the spark.
I pray you see the magic that you are and that every day you light the spark.
I pray you see the magic that you are and that every day you light the spark.
I pray you see the magic that you are and that every day you light the spark.
