Trees.
Hello and welcome back to a week of peace.
This is day seven,
Our last peace beam of this week.
Space.
So let's begin now as we always do with step one.
Notice.
Just notice how you're feeling.
Notice if you're comfortable,
Whether you need to move around,
Get yourself comfy.
Notice how you're feeling emotionally.
Just hold that question as you begin to drop in.
How am I today?
And just notice what comes back.
And smile.
Now let's move to step two.
Breathe.
And move that focus,
That gentle in a gaze now to your breath,
Your miraculous breath.
And just begin to tune to its rhythm.
Notice how it moves in and out of your body.
This is steadiness,
Its generosity,
Its availability.
And just be here breathing.
And now let's connect your breath to your heart.
Imagine your breath moving in and out through your beautiful heart.
Those two great miracles,
Meeting,
Greeting,
Embracing,
Weaving together this space of peace for you to relax completely into now.
Beautiful.
Now join me as we move to step three.
Activate.
In 1968,
The manned Apollo 8 mission went into space to orbit and photograph the moon.
And as it approached the moon,
There was a televised broadcast and one of the astronauts said that he would turn the camera around to look at the earth.
And that was the moment that our consciousness changed forever.
For the first time,
Humanity,
We had an entirely new perspective of our home.
We saw the blue jewel of our planet hanging in the blackness of space.
And everything changed.
Astronauts talk about the overview effect,
Which is a feeling of overwhelming awe and gratitude that washes over them when they look at our planet from space.
It is a feeling of deep understanding of the oneness of all life.
They talk about it's alive,
Dynamic beauty shining all the time in the blackness,
The line of shadow moving across the surface.
As day chases night,
Brilliant flashes of thunderstorms in the atmosphere,
The solar winds bending around and creating dancing curtains of auroras,
Spectacular light shows.
And how the planet comes alive at night as the cities and towns across the globe light up.
The image of our planet from space is one that is familiar now.
But just for now,
For today,
I want you to really allow yourself to contemplate this.
As we look out of the window or walk outside,
We feel steady and stable and we think that the sky goes on forever.
But in reality,
In truth,
We are on a spinning,
Living planet,
Hurtling through space at 70,
000 miles per hour.
And we are protected from the harshness of space by our delicate atmosphere,
This thin blue line.
And we are part of a complete system where every living thing is connected to and dependent on every other living thing for life.
Our oneness,
Our interconnectedness is not just a concept or an idea,
It is a living reality.
And when we contemplate this deeply,
It allows us to step outside of our ideas about separateness and about isolation.
And it connects us to a sense of awe and gratitude.
And we consider that we are all right now in space on Spaceship Earth.
And it is where we belong,
On this oasis of life against the backdrop of infinity.
Step 4 Peace Beam Every person that you meet today is in reality inextricably linked to you.
So take this understanding and hold it in your magnificent heart and your beautiful mind and wish unconditional good for yourself and for everybody that you meet.
Thank you so much for being with us for this week of peace.
We really hope you enjoyed this journey through mind and body and space and time.
And we wish you unrestricted good all the days of your life.
