This is a traditional Qi Gong meditation focusing on the 5 main organs in Tao: Liver, Heart, Spleen, Lungs and Kidneys. Each organ is related to a colour and a part of the face/head. By linking the organ with the part of the face and the colour, we can look after these organs and help the cycle of life. This practice will allow you to nourish and replenish your main organs and body and feel fresh. Enjoy!

Hello and welcome to this Qigong meditation called Five Elements Meditation.

This is a traditional Qigong meditation focused on the five key organs in Chinese medicine,

The liver,

The heart,

The spleen,

The lungs and the kidneys.

The entire concept of this meditation is that these organs work in a cycle,

Which I've just listed.

So liver to heart,

To spleen,

To lungs,

To kidneys and back to liver.

Each of these organs is related to a color.

So liver is related to the color green,

Heart to the red,

Spleen yellow,

Lungs white and kidneys blue.

And each of these organs is also related to a part of the face or the head.

So the liver is related to the eyes,

The heart to the tongue,

The spleen to the lips,

The lungs to the nose and the kidneys to the ears.

And this meditation will use this part of the face and head as a way to move energy into the organ.

And you'll see as we do it,

It will become obvious.

So let's start.

And as usual,

Let's start by relaxing our body comfortably,

Focusing inward.

And to do that,

We're going to focus on our in-breath and our out-breath by taking three deep inhales and three deep exhales focusing on inflating the belly as much as comfortable.

And then we're going to relax our body by imagining that our body is divided into three parts,

The front,

Center and the back.

And we're going to start by relaxing the front of the body from top to bottom,

From the head to the toe.

And we relax every part of the body,

Outer part and inner part.

And then we do the same with the center of the body,

Same thing from the top of the head to the feet,

Focusing on the inner part and outer part of the body.

And then finally,

We're going to relax the back of the body,

Same thing from the top of the head to the feet and relaxing every part of the body.

And let's start the meditation.

So first,

We're going to visualize or imagine two beams of green light.

And these two beams of green light are going to soak your eyes into green energy,

Green light.

And you can see your eyes becoming completely green,

Soaked by that beautiful green energy.

And then next inhale,

We're going to send that beautiful energy from our eyes to our liver on the right side of the body.

And if it's easier,

You can visualize the energy going from your eyes,

Through your head,

Through your mouth,

Through your throat,

Through your upper body,

Into your liver.

And every inhale and every exhale,

You send more of that beautiful green energy from your eyes to your liver.

And then next inhale,

We're going to imagine that that green energy is going to detoxify the liver,

Remove any impurity,

Remove anything that's not needed.

And then same,

Next inhale,

Remove the toxins,

And as you exhale,

You're going to imagine you exhale those toxins.

And now moving on to the tongue,

And we're going to visualize a beam of red light,

Deep red light,

Which is going to bathe the tongue into red energy,

From the tip of the tongue to the bottom of the tongue.

And you can see every part of your tongue becoming deep red,

Soaked by that beautiful red energy.

And then next inhale,

We're going to send that red energy from the tongue to our heart.

And each inhale and each exhale,

More of that red energy goes from the tongue to the heart.

And then next inhale and exhale,

Like previously,

We're going to send that red energy to the tongue to the heart.

And then next inhale and exhale,

Like previously,

We're going to imagine that that red energy is going to remove anything that's not needed in your heart.

Any toxins,

Emotions,

Impurities.

It's getting cleansed as you inhale and exhale.

And the next exhale,

We're going to imagine that these impurities are getting out of our body through our out-breath.

And next,

Let's move to our lips,

And we're going to visualize a yellow light that's going to bathe our lips into yellow energy.

And if you look at your face from the outside,

You can see your lips completely yellow.

And every inhale and exhale,

More of that yellow energy is bathing your lips.

And then next inhale,

We're going to send that yellow energy from the lips to our spleen on the left side of the body,

Just underneath the rib cage.

And if it's easier,

You can visualize the yellow energy going from the lips,

Through the mouth,

Through the tongue,

Through the lungs,

Through the upper body into the spleen.

And you can see your spleen completely soaked into that beautiful yellow energy.

And the next inhale,

We're going to imagine that this yellow energy is going to cleanse our spleen,

Remove anything that's not needed,

Impurities,

Toxins.

Same with the next inhale,

And the next exhale,

We get rid of those toxins through our out-breath.

And next,

We're going to focus on our nose,

The tip of our nose,

And we're going to visualize a white light that's going to soak our nose in white energy.

From the tip of our nose to the top of our nose.

And each inhale and each exhale,

More of that white energy is soaking the nose.

And then next inhale,

We're going to send that white energy from the nose to our lungs,

Left lung and right lung.

And as you inhale and as you exhale,

You imagine that your lungs are getting soaked into that beautiful white energy,

Completely cleansed.

And next inhale and next exhale,

You're going to imagine that this white light,

This white energy is cleansing your lungs.

Inner part of the lungs and outer part of the lungs,

Anything that's not needed.

And the next inhale,

One more time,

You cleanse the lungs and then next exhale,

You get rid of these toxins through your out-breath.

And then finally,

You're going to focus on your ears and you're going to visualize a deep blue light that's going to soak both your ears in blue energy.

You can see your ears becoming completely blue,

Outer part of the ears and inner part of the ears.

And each inhale and exhale,

More of that blue light is soaking your ears.

And the next inhale,

We're going to send that blue energy from our ears to our kidneys,

Left kidney,

Right kidney.

And each inhale and exhale are getting soaked into that beautiful deep blue light and getting cleansed.

And coming back to this blue light,

And next inhale and exhale,

You're going to imagine that this blue light is cleansing your kidneys,

Removing any toxins,

Anything you don't need.

And the next inhale,

Same thing,

You cleanse your kidneys and then next exhale,

You get rid of those toxins through your out-breath.

And then coming back to the here and now,

Feeling the sensation of the chair or the sofa,

A mat on your body,

Sensation of the air in the room,

Maybe the noise in the room,

Wiggling your toes,

Your fingers,

Maybe stretching a bit.

Coming back to the here and now and you can open your eyes slowly if it feels right and continue with whatever you're doing today or tonight.
