I want you all to relax,
Lean back.
I want to create a safe place for you.
I want you to imagine you are in a safe space,
A safe room,
A safe building among friends.
Your guard is down.
You feel at ease.
You feel that everyone here knows and understands you.
They see where you've been.
They know your struggles.
They're empathetic.
We often don't have those moments in our life,
So in the space that we create here tonight,
You are welcome.
You are wanted.
You are seen.
You are heard.
You are among people who understand and support.
Maybe picture what it might look like.
Maybe outside at a picnic.
Maybe at a kitchen table,
Family member's house,
A beach,
A cabin,
A cloud,
Whatever that might look like.
A place that you just feel completely at ease and maybe it's a new place you make up in your mind.
You have that power to create your most perfect and safe sanctuary full of loving,
Attentive,
Caring individuals who are happy you are there,
Who love and care for you.
And spring that feeling to this group in this moment.
I want you just to breathe in.
Breathe that in.
Breathe a feeling of safety and comfort into your chest.
Let it resonate,
Rippling out through your body.
See if you can imagine and feel the energy of this group.
For some reason,
I like to imagine it as a swirling cloud of energy above my head.
We are all contributing our love,
Our care,
Our energy,
Our desires into this cloud.
And as we breathe,
We're filled with this collective energy and goodness,
Further solidifying our intention to support each other.
You can contribute to the cloud as much as you need.
And you can also draw,
Draw energy,
Draw support,
Draw feelings of hope and possibility.
From this place that is safe and secure,
The favorite place that you've designed and created.
We'll shift into our breathing exercise.
Once again,
Breathing into a count of four and out to a count of eight.
When you breathe,
Breathe fully and notice the breath as I guide you through your head,
Expanding into chest,
Fully into your belly.
And see if you can feel that expansion all the way into your tail.
And then we'll go the opposite direction.
We'll do several rounds of that.
And as you exhale,
Just relax and soften.
Let the breath breathe you.
Let the breath change you.
And let the breath communicate to your body that all is well.
So go ahead and we'll take a big deep breath in through your nose to a count of four,

Just let your breathing find its own path,

Survey your body and notice if there's a shift.
Do you feel a little softer,
Maybe a little easier?
Perhaps your heart rates come down a bit.
Maybe you have some tingles running down your spine,
Arms and legs.
Just feel the aliveness in you and the soft,
Wonderful place.
Notice what you feel like to be a little bit more at ease,
A little or a lot,
Whatever works for you.
Offer yourself some gratitude for the shift,
This kindness you've bestowed on your body.
And from this place of peace and ease,
We offer these intentions.
I'll give you five that I always do,
Or you can choose your own.
As I speak these,
You can say them aloud in your mind or out loud physically.
May we be curious about our health and our bodies.
May we be willing to feel our feelings and seek to understand them.
May we be connected with our inner self to know our needs and our boundaries.
May we be confident to do the things necessary to care for ourselves.
May we be fearless to speak our truth.
See if any of those resonated with you,

Spoke to your soul.
Or is there something else that you would like to set an intention for this practice?
When we set an intention,
It creates a roadmap for our subconscious to follow.
Because our goal with these meditations is to get out of our thinking brain and to create a blueprint,
A roadmap,
Something for our subconscious mind to follow.
So notice your body.
Once again,
Soften shoulders,
Unclench your jaw,
Swallow,
Soften your forehead.
Notice the physical shape of your body,
The position.
Notice the areas that need attention.
Notice the areas that feel fine,
Offering gratitude for those parts that we don't pay attention to when they're doing exactly what they need to be doing.
As we continue our practice tonight,
We're going to focus on peace,
Peace in the body.
When you can cultivate feelings and thoughts of peace,
We're going to let that ripple through every cell,
Every tissue,
Every bit of bone,
Blood,
Every bit of your being that is you will be bathed in peace to the extent that you're able.
That piece is further indication to your body that all as well is setting the stage for optimal healing,
For reallocation of your resources and energy.
And in our minds as we journey through the body,
We hold visions of health,
Of wellness,
Of wholeness.
Because again,
Our bodies respond to what the brain and the heart send out.
And we can help guide those messages.
So even if we do have thoughts that go in a direction,
Remember we have that authority to change,
To pause,
To turn,
To breathe,
To remember that underneath there is peace.
So once again,
Notice your body.
I want you to think about both halves of your brain.
See if one side feels different than the other.
One side working harder.
One side heavier,
Thicker,
Duller.
Do you notice that one part of your brain is doing more work than the other?
If you close your eyes,
Which directions do your eyes look to see what's going on in your brain?
I want you to notice this imbalance.
Most of us have one side that's doing more than the other.
Not right or wrong,
It just is.
So I want you to imagine that you have two pools of water,
One on each side of your brain,
And likely the side of your head,
The side of your brain that feels full and busy and overworked and stressed.
That pool of water will feel bigger,
Deeper,
Taller.
And the other side might seem a little empty.
Just notice how your brain feels.
And in your mind's eye,
Begin to allow those pools of water to even.
Noticing the water going from the thick and heavy side,
Gently,
Easily flowing over to the empty side.
The empty and lighter side is receptive,
Receiving,
Willing to hold more of its share,
To lighten the load on the other half.
And notice if you can,
In your mind's eye,
Creating balance between the right and the left in pools of water until the top of the two pools of water join.
And you create one cohesive,
Complete pool of water.
Notice that the water is calm,
That there is no turbulence.
Notice the pool of water rising and falling with your breath.
And as we think about the image of our brain with a clear,
Easy pool of water,
Our brain activity slows,
Becomes coordinated.
As we breathe,
It softens a gentle ripple across the waves,
Across the surface of the water.
We notice a lightness in our head.
We might imagine our brain calming,
Slowing,
The electrical activity becoming less spiky and more fluid.
As we breathe,
That only intensifies the feelings of peace and calm in our brain.
From this peaceful and calm state,
The signal goes out that all is well.
Time to turn down the outward focus.
Time to shift resources inward.
The brain notices the body's softened state,
The gentle and easy respirations,
And it shifts more and more into a state of peace and ease.
Blood flowing freely and easily in the vessels of the brain.
Neurons in agreement,
Transmitting easy and peaceful communication across the brain.
The skin on the face and skull softens,
Relaxes.
The space between the eyebrows soften.
The eyes are floating in their sockets.
The tongue retreats from the roof of the mouth.
The jaw relaxes.
As you breathe,
You feel lightness.
The water may ripple gently with the breath.
And from the top of your skull,
An opening appears and a beautiful drop of light drops into the pool of water,
Sparkling and shimmering across the surface,
Traveling downward through your brain,
Through all of the centers of knowledge,
Function,
Intuition.
This light travels now down through your brainstem,
The base of your skull,
Carrying a message of peace and relaxation down the back of your neck.
It ripples out into your shoulders,
Your throat and your jaw.
And all those organs and tissues receive that message and soften.
Blood vessels open.
Blood flows.
Oxygen is delivered.
Tissues are receiving.
That light signal continues to travel down your spinal column from the base of your neck,
Down your spine,
Past your ribs.
And that light and love and peace and ease wraps around your chest.
With your inspiration and expiration,
That light is magnified.
It continues to travel from your mid back past your waist,
Past your lower back to your tailbone.
Once again,
Following the path of your nerves around your abdomen,
Grabbing your belly and light and love and healing.
Grabbing your belly and light and love and healing into your pelvis,
Your hips.
And now from the top of your head,
This light is infused your brain,
Your neck,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Your torso.
And it radiates out through your extremities through your arms and your legs.
And peace and ease washes over the entire body system.
Every cell is receptive.
Functions are improved.
Healing is magnified.
Your awareness moves into your arms,
Arms,
Your shoulders,
Your upper arms,
Your elbows,
Your forearms,
Your wrists,
Your hands and fingers.
Joints are bathed in this beautiful light of healing.
Any swelling and pain is washed away.
Vessels are opened up to deliver healing blood,
Oxygen,
Energy,
Immune products,
Repair,
And restoration to all aspects of your arms from shoulders to fingers.
I want you to feel that life energy inside your arms as blood flows through the vessels.
Muscles are contracting,
Releasing,
Your skin is responding.
Nerves are communicating continuously.
You offer gratitude for your arms,
Your upper extremities and your hands.
And we move our awareness to our lower extremities,
Our hips,
Our femur,
Our thighs,
Our knees,
Shins and calves,
Ankles,
Feet and toes.
And again,
We feel that from the inside out a life inside of us as this healing energy flows through us.
As blood vessels are open,
Circulation is improved.
Immune function is maximized.
The very tips of your toes are infused with life giving blood and waste products are removed efficiently and effortlessly.
Calming swelling,
Easing pain,
Promoting healing in any area that your lower extremities need.
You feel aliveness moving in you.
In your mind's eye,
You see the areas of need,
Open,
Receiving,
Changing,
Growing,
And healing.
We bring the same energy to our belly,
To the home of all of our organs,
Our digestive tract.
This place where our external sources of energy are brought in through our digestive tract and things that are lifeless are digested and turned into our living flesh in a miracle every day,
Broken down into the smallest components of nutrition that can be absorbed by our body,
To grow new tissues,
To repair damage,
To soothe inflammation,
To boost our immune system.
Starting in our mouth as we swallow,
Healing and light,
Restoration down our throat,
Our esophagus,
Into our stomach.
Peace and ease ripples throughout your digestive tract,
Calming,
Soothing,
Restoring.
Optimal digestion is remembered and realized as we continue through the small intestine.
Rhythmic and easy waves propel the food forward.
Clean and pink tissue of the inner digestive tract absorb nutrients.
Your belly is calm.
It is easy.
It is peaceful.
It is engaged.
It speaks to you and you listen.
With each breath,
The expansion and contraction massages your digestive tract.
As you proceed to the large intestine and the colon,
And finalizing the journey of food products back to the earth,
Our digestion is slow and easy and peaceful,
Restored and whole.
The same light and love and restoration focuses on your liver and your right upper quadrant.
It is full of blood,
Creating many metabolic functions,
Keeping balance and harmony within your system,
Within your body,
Detoxifying,
Purifying,
Ensuring proper blood clotting,
Maintaining glucose regulation,
Many,
Many other functions.
The liver is open.
It is restoring,
Regenerating,
Healing.
Blood vessels are full,
Taught,
Supple,
Back to their natural state.
The gallbladder is nestled inside,
Releasing anything it doesn't need,
That full function,
Full wellness.
Moving to the pancreas,
Nestled in the middle of the belly,
Behind the belly button.
It lights up with appreciation for this awareness,
For this gift of attention,
As it produces enzymes for digestion,
Hormones for glucose control.
It is restored,
Rejuvenated,
Rebuilt.
Energy that would have been used to worry and fret is transmuted to heal your inner organs.
The pancreas,
Nestled in the middle of the belly,
And the liver,
They receive and accept this healing delightfully,
Gladly,
Willingly.
They feel worthy of wholeness.
These parts of you,
As do your kidneys,
Nestled above your waist,
Towards your back,
Beneath your ribs,
These bean-shaped organs that are filtering your blood,
Removing impurities,
Helping to maintain blood pressure,
Filtering,
Cleaning,
Helping to rid the body of what is no longer necessary while maintaining fluid balance.
These kidneys that can be damaged are being repaired,
Restored,
Healed,
Proteins reassembled,
Structures rebuilt,
Blood flow perfect and whole.
The urine that the kidneys produce flows easily and effortlessly down the tubules to the bladder,
The bladder which is relaxed and easy,
Free of infection,
Free of inflammation,
Free of irregularities,
And your urinary system works perfectly.
We are grateful.
We hold the image of wellness,
Of wholeness,
Of perfect function.
That is the only image we allow our brain to see.
We see things restored,
Repaired,
Rejuvenated,
Optimized with blood flow and immune products.
The belly is relaxed.
The gut biome is flourishing with healthy bacteria and viruses to keep us normal and safe.
We have a whole universe inside of us that is constantly reacting,
Adjusting,
Helping us balance mood,
Digestion,
Intuition,
And so many other things.
And the more we allow peace and ease to wash across our belly,
These functions are enhanced,
Bloomed,
Blossomed,
Expedited.
We offer gratitude that our body can do this with our thought alone.
We paint a picture of perfect health and wellness,
A flow in all body systems,
Of peace in our mind,
Which allows the memory that we are ever connected to self,
To the universe,
To nature,
To each other.
We know this truth in our hearts,
Our hearts centered in our chest,
Beating fully and strongly,
Function optimized,
Blood pressure regulated,
Flow within normal limits,
Easily and effortlessly pumping to every aspect of your body,
Blood that is rich with oxygen from the lungs,
Lungs that are open,
Fluffy,
Easily exchanging gases.
The lungs that breathe in and out as a sign of life and a permanent choreography with our heart,
The breathing and the beating and the knowing in our chest,
The intelligence of our heart that wants to connect with others,
That wants to connect with our deeper soul.
We allow our hearts and our chests to open,
Knocking down the walls that we often hide behind,
Because we are in a safe place in a safe place where our heart can beat,
Where our lungs can breathe,
And where our bodies remember how to heal.
Every organ,
Every cell,
Every tissue in your body is bathed in light,
And love,
And healing energy.
I want you to feel it,
Notice it,
Believe it,
Share it with this group.
Breathe in the energy of this collective,
This energy that knows how to heal,
That remembers wholeness,
That aspires to find it again,
And understands we're on a journey of learning,
Learning how to find peace,
Learning how to optimally care for this vehicle that is our body,
And offering grace and forgiveness for the mistakes we may have made along the way.
From deep within your own heart,
Forgive yourself.
You will always have done the best we have with what we had,
And today is a new place.
Every day is a do-over,
A chance to seek more wholeness,
More peace,
More restoration,
Restoration of movement,
Of breath,
Of function,
Of connection,
Restoration of being seen,

Restoration of trust,
Trusting yourself,
Trusting others,
And trusting your higher power,
For trust is a foundational element of love,

When we are in a state of trust,
Our body understands it is time to heal,
And it is good to do so.

I am here in this moment now.
I am breathing,
Therefore I am alive.
I am relaxed,
And my body surrenders to healing and restoration.
