Welcome.
Let's bring our attention to our breathing.
Deep breath in.
Hold in just for one second.
Then long breath out.
And finally,
Deep breath in.
Hold in just for one second.
And let go.
Now let's keep that rhythmic breathing going.
Those long deep breaths in.
Just a small pause.
And that long breath out.
Let's try and keep that going throughout the meditation.
And now let's bring our attention to how our body is feeling.
Sometimes the physical symptoms of anger can manifest itself in uncomfortable feelings within our body.
Let's scan down our body.
Just be aware of those feelings.
Where that anxiety,
That anger is gathering.
We start from the top of our head.
Make sure that our brow is relaxed.
Our jaw and tongue relaxed.
With those long breaths out,
Just allow your body just to further relax.
Let's focus on our shoulders.
When we're angry or anxious,
The stress and the anxiety can gather in our shoulders.
Make sure the blades can feel pinched.
Let's just be mindful of that feeling.
And again,
Allow that feeling just to drop away with each one of those long breaths out.
Good.
Let's carry on down our body.
Down our back.
Any feelings of tension,
Let's just be aware of those.
Allow those to wash away with those long breaths out.
How does our chest feel?
Good,
Breathing,
Allowing your body just to catch a moment,
A moment of peace.
Allowing that stress,
That anger,
That anxiety just to wash away.
The feeling in your stomach.
Sometimes the anger or stress can manifest itself as butterflies in your stomach.
Again,
With that slow,
Rhythmic breathing,
Allow that just to calm.
We'll wait here just a moment to allow the top part of our body just to settle and relax.
If your mind wanders,
Don't worry,
Just bring it back to your breathing.
Good.
Now let's focus on our hips and thighs,
Our knees and our feet,
Our feet firmly planted to the ground beneath us,
Anchoring us and centering us to this moment.
Back to Mother Earth.
Now we bring our attention to our mind.
And we visualize the cause of our anger.
That may be a situation.
That may be a person.
That may be something that has happened or a worry around something that may happen.
Let's visualize the cause of our feelings of anger.
And we become aware of the feelings within our body of the anger.
The feeling of our brow clenched,
Our jaw perhaps clenched,
Our shoulder blades pinched,
Our heart beat rising.
We become aware of those feelings.
We allow them to be.
Without control,
Without judgment,
We are aware of those feelings.
And in our mind's eye,
We focus our attention back,
Back to the image of the root of our anger,
The cause for these feelings.
And we see the cause on a sheet of paper.
And that paper is smoldering,
It's smoldering around the edges.
And on each one of those deep breaths out,
We fan the smoldering embers of the cause of our anger.
Those deep breaths in and long breaths out,
Fanning the embers of the cause of our anger.
And as the smoldering becomes more intense,
We see the cause of our anger burning away,
Turning to ash.
The ash floating up,
Up,
Back to source,
Back to the universe,
Back to the infinite energy pool.
Those negative thoughts,
Those negative emotions going back to source with each one of those long breaths out,
Pushing,
Pushing the feeling away,
Back to source,
The divine source,
Taking that negativity,
Recycling it back,
Back into positive healing energy.
And we see the energy coming back to us in a cycle.
The more that we exhale and pass the negative energy through the smoldering ashes of our anger back to source,
We receive back,
Back through our crown,
The golden,
Perfect,
Infinite energy of the divine,
And we see the energy flowing through our crown,
Down,
Down to our feet,
To where we are firmly grounded,
Planted to Mother Earth,
Our body slowly filling with the eternal healing energy of the universe,
Filling our calves,
Filling our thighs,
Filling our hips,
And as it passes through our body,
We remember those feelings of tension,
The physical symptoms of anger,
And the healing energy as it flows up,
Up past our back,
Up through our stomach,
Up into our chest and shoulders,
Those feelings of tension and stress,
Pushing away as the golden energy slowly fills our body,
Up past our shoulders,
Down our arms,
Till you feel the divine presence of spirit,
Of source,
Filling every atom of your body,
The healing energy passing,
Passing through your head and neck,
We take a final breath to thun the final ember of our anger,
The anger now a distant memory,
The anger now sent back to source,
Sent back to the divine and recycled,
Turned into perfect healing energy,
And we see ourselves filled with the golden energy,
Our spirit lifted,
Lifted from our body and floating in the space between the earth and the divine,
Our body,
Our spirit free from the tension of anger,
Free from the worry and anxiety of anger,
The anger that caused now a distant memory irrelevant to this moment,
The only reality being this very moment,
This second,
Filled with energy from the divine,
And we take a moment to enjoy,
Enjoy this second,
Good,
And now our spirit filled with the perfect energy of the divine,
Comes back into our body,
Leaving our body feeling grounded,
Relaxed,
Free of anger,
And free from the cause of the anger,
We bring our attention back to our body,
The feeling of our feet firmly grounded,
The rise and fall of our chest as we take those deep breaths in and long breaths out,
And before we go,
We remember the Reiki principles and we use these as our affirmations for today,
Just for today,
Do not anchor,
Just for today,
Do not worry,
Just for today,
Give thanks for life's many blessings,
Just for today,
Do my work honestly,
Just for today,
Be kind to all living creatures,
And as we go through the day,
We remember those principles,
These guiding principles for our day,
And now let's bring our attention back to this moment,
Back to your environment,
The sound of the music,
The light and dark in the room,
And when you're ready and only when you're ready,
You can open your eyes,
Have a fantastic day.
