I'm a soul.

I'm a soul.

I'm a soul.

I'm a soul.

We begin our awareness practice by becoming aware.

Aware of the breath as we breathe in and breathe out.

Where is the breath flowing from?

And as you breathe in this breath,

Notice whether your chest rises with each in-breath and falls with each exhalation.

Or whether it's your tummy that gently pushes forward as you breathe in and draws back as you exhale.

There's no need to change anything.

Just notice.

Breathe in and breathe out.

And before you close your eyes,

Look around your environment.

Our practice today is practicing awareness by seeing the color blue.

Look around your environment and notice anything that is the color blue and just pay attention.

What shade is that blue?

Had you noticed it before?

Is there something else in your environment that's also blue,

But just a different hue?

Become aware of all the different shades of blue around you.

Sky blue.

Cobalt blue.

Midnight blue.

Steel blue.

Baby blue.

Just to name a few of the many variants of the color blue.

Are there any in your environment?

Mindfully look around you as you breathe deeply,

Calm your body with each breath and relax into this present moment.

Practice paying attention to all the unexpected places that you're now noticing the color blue show up.

Take three deep breaths.

In and out.

Fully exhaling all the air before you take in the next deep breath.

Let the calming,

Healing,

Restful energy of the blue colors waft softly around you.

Now close your eyes and in your mind's eye allow the vibrant color blue of whatever hue or shade is alive in you at this moment to settle into your awareness.

Breathe in that color.

Allow the tone of blue projecting in your mind's eye to quell all sense of antsiness and dispel any residue of lingering stress.

Let its soft,

Healing blue rays circle around you,

Calm and heal you.

There's no place here for the blues in this place of safety,

Stillness and peace.

While swerved in this beautiful,

Restful blue colored energy.

So surrender to the blue hues and their healing,

Calming vibration.

This mindfulness practice is so much more than just seeing the color blue.

It's a mindful practice of paying attention and broadening our field of awareness.

Discovering a more spacious state of mind.

What else are you aware of as you breathe in and breathe out that color blue?

Oh,

Oh,

Take in another deep breath.

Exhale all the air fully as we begin our journey in consciousness back to this time and place with expanded awareness.

Bring your hands to prayer position and place your thumbs on your sternum.

Tilt your chin to your chest.

Bring your attention up behind the back of your eyes.

Feel everything in your body.

Let your sight land gently on something that is in your environment that's the color blue.

And let this be your practice going forward for the next few days.

Seeing the color blue.

Stopping when you do.

Take three deep breaths.

Be aware of everything you're thinking,

Feeling,

Sensing,

Brought to your attention because you stopped to see the blues.

From that calm,

Restful,

Aware place in me to that calm,

Restful,

Aware place in you.

I now bow.
