My heart was breaking, and I didn’t know what else to do. So, as fires and tempers flared over the death of George Floyd, I sat in my prayer space and recorded a short bonus episode of my Touching the Stillness podcast. This is the prayer that came through me that day to soothe the grief. May it be a blessing for someone else also, as we stand united in peace and equality for all. Namaste.

GONG I'd like to begin our prayer by just taking a moment to center ourselves.

If there are tears,

Let them flow.

If there is pain,

Feel the pain.

Recognize where it is in the body.

Notice if it has form or flow.

What kind of quality,

Texture or energy this sensation is showing up as in your body.

Don't do anything to change it right now.

Just let it be there.

A reminder of our humanity.

But we don't need to let it take over us.

And now we change our breathing.

Make it more deliberate.

Deepen it.

Extend the exhale as we breathe out.

And feel those places in us begin to soften.

Not close off to the stories,

The experiences and our reactions.

But just soften our body and relax us into this moment.

So we may more viscerally feel the presence and the power of the Divine.

And we just breathe and be still.

What is mine to do to align with Divine justice and Divine order?

What is mine to do as an individual to relinquish any known or covert ideas or beliefs that perpetuate the premise of separation?

Whether it's learned or socially innate in me.

Whether it's because of my background,

Where I was born,

Where I lived,

Where I went to school,

How I was educated.

Whatever it is within me that perpetuates the belief in separation or superiority or inferiority.

As I listen without judging or condemning myself,

I come into the flow of Divine truth,

Of Divine wisdom that speaks to my heart of what is mine to do.

To release the belief in separation,

Superiority or inferiority,

Whether it's conscious or unconscious in me,

In how I show up,

In how I treat others.

What are my privileges that cause me to mistreat another?

I come to the throne of grace today to allow that to be released from me so that justice,

The idea of oneness,

The reflection of healing love,

Begins with me.

Breathe and be still.

Breathe and listen.

Breathe and be still.

Breathe and be still.

Reveal what needs to be revealed and heal what needs to be healed.

I relinquish all sense of hopelessness,

All sense of helplessness.

I call forth the power of God's Divine love.

By whatever name or nature I understand the God of my being to be.

To assuage my own personal fears.

To hold my pain and wrap me in the energy of comfort and extend this comfort and love to George Floyd.

And every other person who has lost their lives merely because of the colour of their skin and the unjust way in which they've been robbed of their lives.

Their families and loved ones left to bear the brunt with their heavy-hearted grief,

Perpetuated by injustice.

May this love and comfort extend out to the communities who were judged,

Condemned,

Ridiculed,

Blamed,

Discarded on a daily basis because of the colour of their skin.

May healing now be established.

The kind of healing that transcends all space and time and flows in all directions of time,

Space,

Sequence,

All dimensions.

As we come together in this collective consciousness and pause with our heavy hearts now being uplifted,

We come to a place of understanding that we are the ones that can bring about the change.

And so we rest in this moment of stillness to allow ourselves to be strengthened,

To become clear what is ours to do,

To be motivated,

To take right action.

Loving,

Positive action that will start the healing process.

This is a new day and a new opportunity.

And so we uplift our sense of hopelessness or fear or anger,

Frustration.

We lift it up to the light and we walk through the world with conscious awareness of the ways and the times that we perpetuate the opposite of love,

The opposite of inclusion,

The opposite of justice.

We pray and then put feet on our prayers as we are guided in what is ours to do.

We stand up for truth.

We stand up for principle.

We stand up for peace.

We stand up for unity.

We stand up for oneness.

We stand up for justice.

We stand up for change.

And now we choose to trust,

Knowing that as we allow divine love,

Christ consciousness to be in charge,

Perfect results are now unfolding as this seed of truth is planted into our consciousness and expressed into the atmosphere.

It goes forth to accomplish swiftly and completely into existence.

Peace,

Justice,

Oneness and a world that beautifully works for all.

As we arise from this place of peace,

We set our intention to allow our lives,

Our words,

Our thoughts,

Our love to be the positive prayer that we live,

Speak and express into existence now.

And so it is.

Amen.
