Ancient AUM

AUM is an ancient mantra symbolising Self Realization. This is attained by aligning the consciousness that is awakened and therefore in full awareness of four states. These are 1) normal waking consciousness, sleeping with dreams, deep dreamless sleep and the fourth, the state including all of these yet transcending them. To establish a regular, meaningful AUM chanting practice, with deep feeling and understanding, is a type of 'shortcut to enlightenment.
