(Warning: Extremely lengthy response ahead!) I wouldn't exactly say that for me, this track motivated me to get things done. However - and this is a HUGE deal for me - it did finally kick start my brain into some semblance of wakefulness. I have a few sleep disorders, part of which (if not most) relate to some physiological differences in my brain structure. Just enough to make waking up a challenge, no matter how much sleep I did or did not manage to get. I take medication to stay awake during the day (and for those thinking it's narcolepsy, you're partly right but that isn't it - similar, though). I have tried getting up and immediately turning on my 10K Lux light therapy lamp while moving about doing Tai chi or some bed yoga, whatever my body will permit given the multiple musculoskeletal issues I also live with. Try to get the blood flow going, etc. All that does is let me do routine things; my brain does not actually engage until it's decided it's ready, which is problematic at times like when I was in the miltary and would "wake up" mentally to find myself having already woken up, gone and done PT with my platoon, showered, changed into the uniform of the day (and passed random uniform and room inspections), eaten breakfast, and realized I was now sitting at my desk in the classroom, half an hour into the day. I only have fragmentary memories of the activities of the day prior to that. Even now, having been out of the service over 20 years, I have maybe 2-3 second video "clips" of memory of various parts of those mornings unless something major went on, like when I was doing burpees in the winter darkness and accidentally put my gloved hand smack dab on a fire ant nest. I remember THAT. But I don't really remember much else after the drill sgt came running over. Later on in my service, I sustained a mild TBI which I noticed further compromised my ability to wake up and retain memories of the waking hours prior to brain engagement. Now, I say this all because in conjunction with these issues, I have also utilized - under the administration of qualified clinical professionals - techniques such as neurofeedback training and hypnosis (both self and clinically guided), plus an Alpha-Stim M unit which helps with pain relief. I have to use it less as a TENS unit though (which it can do too), and more a direct neurological pulse pattern with the earlobe clips and all that jazz. My brain is quite accustomed to being zapped and prodded to do things, in other words. I have found the most effective meditation practices for me include rhythmic ones, whether it's walking practices, shamanic drumming, guided sessions with steady background music beats, or (and most effectively) binaural beats and Solfeggio frequencies. There are a few tracks I have found on Insight Timer which incorporate these techniques and that I additionally find quite helpful. White or pink noise (brown noise, not so much - I spent four years as an audio engineer in a variety of capacities, so I've used the full range and then some) is also helpful due to the tinnitus from miltary service. My lifelong musical background makes me a bit picky regarding the music used to house the beats. I'd certainly have more available options were if not for that fact. THIS track is great for me, however. As I said at the start of this review, it doesn't necessarily motivate me to do things, but what it DOES do is far more valuable for me - it stimulates my brain into conscious wakefulness. The motivation is already there, but I have to be awake first to truly access it, and this does the trick. I have downloaded it and as soon as Insight Timer finally gets the long-promised "Playlist" feature working on the app, I will be putting it into my "Upon Awakening" list so that it won't take me nearly so long to rouse enough to truly and effectively start my day. This is a priceless gift, as far as I'm concerned. While the melody/tune it uses isn't terribly delicious to my ears, that really makes no difference to me considering the outcome. Case in point, today: I was awakened by my spouse around 8:30 am today, a Saturday. I tried to sit up, move around, get the blood flowing, all that. Clearly I failed, as I opened my eyes to register that it was 10:15 am. I sighed, reached for the blinds to let sunlight in, turned on my light therapy lamp, took my medication, and sat up. I must have done SOMETHING, as I next remember looking at the clock at 11:05 am, with my fitness tracker on the charger, charging away. I was wearing it at 10:15 am when I had checked the clock and was starting to open my app to see how much sleep I had gotten last night. That app was not open. I had, however, apparently listened to a favorite song of mine on Insight Timer as the post-listen timer was counting away. Since IT was already open, I scrolled through the current day's listings and bookmarked a few. I do virtual race walking, and today I have a chance to put in some serious mileage, so I saw the photo and description of this track and thought that it would be a good one to try out since it had binaural beats and was described as helping with motivation. I had yet to get dressed and sort laundry, part of my usual Saturday routine (except when it's not 😆). Thought this track might help me move through those functions at a bare minimum. In the past, I have turned on TED talks first thing in the morning to attempt to engage my brain, or jumped into highly technical discussions on Quora. (E.g., I was late to work once due to a lively debate I was having regarding the function of the dark side of the ceramic tiles on the underside of the space shuttle, and one of the tile manufacturers and I were in agreement but the NASA engineer at JPL had a different idea as to the purpose - ultimately the tile manufacturer and I prevailed. LOL) Without this level of brain engagement, I just don't wake fully up, or perhaps I should say become consciously aware of my actions and surroundings. It's not sleepwalking, as I can recall making decisions and being in conversations if pressed by others, but if it's a routine activity, I generally don't remember it. So I had basic moderate hopes for this track, really. Just something to tap on my brain's shoulder to help make it pay attention enough to notice the full spectrum light, the medication, the movement, etc. Instead, I woke up. Really. I. Woke. Up. I was amazed. And what's even more interesting to me is that as it was playing, I was able to get dressed and moving and sort my laundry, my usual routine, but I REMEMBER it. And what's even MORE interesting to me now is that since the track ended, I have gradually felt my eyes growing heavier and my brain becoming more sluggish again. It is now 12:49 pm. The track ended about 15 minutes ago. I intend to play this again now and see if I can duplicate the result. If so, I will be making note of what information was provided in the description, and giving that to the clinician who does my neurofeedback. We had worked for a time on frequency, then taken a long break to let things settle, and a couple weeks ago we returned to it with a focus now on amplitude of those frequencies. Depending on the beats used, we may return to frequencies for a bit to incorporate this into what's already there, if it's not already been addressed. If it has, boosting the amplitude may help. I'm not going to lie, this is really exciting for me. I might be able to make some progress in waking up more quickly and more fully with this now. ☺️ (I still am not motivated to do my laundry, however.... I'll take what I can get though. 😆) Thank you SO much for sharing this track. About to hit play again, once it's done downloading so I can access it regardless of how poor (or more rarely, good) my cell reception is. I see the light in you, and I look forward to exploring more of your work. 🤲🏻❤️🤲🏻

I wouldn't have believed that this works, if I hadn't tried it myself! Right away, as I listened, I started reviewing everything I would like to accomplish today, in my head. Normally, the sheer volume of things that need doing would overwhelm me, sending me into a sort of paralysis, resulting in nothing getting accomplished. But this time was different. Along with the to-do list, I started seeing exactly how I could fit all of these tasks into my day. Even more importantly, I got up and started doing them! Absolutely amazing! I will be listening to this every morning. Thank you SO much for creating this extremely helpful music!
