Welcome.
Begin by finding a posture that feels both relaxed and awake.
Let your spine lengthen and let your shoulders soften.
Allow your hands to rest in a way that feels natural,
On your lap,
Your heart or gently beside you.
And begin by inviting your breath to slow down.
Feel the air entering your body and leaving.
Inhale and exhale.
No need to control.
Just observe and let each breath be a reminder to you that you are alive,
Here and capable of meeting this moment.
And as you settle,
Bring your attention to your inner landscape,
The sensations,
The energy,
The tone of your inner world.
You don't need to find anything,
Just notice what's already here.
Now gently turn toward what feels uncomfortable.
This might be a sensation in the body,
An emotion beneath the surface,
A place inside that feels tight,
Restless,
Dull or tender.
Begin to greet this part of you.
You might not like it.
You might wish it would go away.
That's okay.
But for now,
Just practice welcoming it and say silently,
Even this belongs,
Even this has a place.
And notice what it feels like to say yes.
Not to the story,
Not to the suffering,
But yes to the feeling itself,
Yes to what is here now.
Now scan your body and see where this comfort lives.
Bring your attention there.
Is it sharp,
Dull?
Is it moving,
Still?
Does it have a boundary?
Just observe with curiosity.
Now breathe gently into that space.
Imagine the breath creating space around the feeling,
Like opening a window in a room that's been closed for a while.
Let it air out,
Let it be seen.
Notice any resistance,
That too is welcome.
You don't need to force anything open,
You're simply being with it.
Offer yourself the words,
I can be with this,
I am not alone,
This is part of being human.
Now imagine that this uncomfortable part of you has a voice.
If it could speak,
What would it say?
You don't need to respond,
Just listen with kindness,
With patience.
Let the feeling speak for a few moments,
And if there's no words,
Just presence,
That's enough.
Sometimes discomfort shows up wearing old clothes,
It may carry echoes of childhood or trauma or unspoken fears.
You don't need to follow the thread,
Only to recognize the depth.
And you can let this moment be one of healing,
Not by doing but by allowing.
Now gently bring your attention to the space around the discomfort.
Notice what surrounds it.
Is there warmth?
Openness?
Neutrality?
Let yourself rest in the awareness that you are more than this one feeling.
You are the space that holds it.
Say silently,
I am not the discomfort,
I am the one who is aware of it.
I am the container,
Not the contents.
Let your breath deepen,
Let it fill your belly,
Your ribs,
Your chest.
Let it remind you that you're safe and here.
As you continue,
You might feel layers shifting.
You might sense that something softens.
Or you might feel nothing changes at all.
Can you let that be okay too?
You're building a new relationship with yourself,
A relationship of trust.
Of patience.
Of returning.
Now if it feels available,
Bring in an image of someone who loves you unconditionally.
This could be a person,
A guide,
Or a loving presence.
Imagine them sitting beside you,
Gently holding space with you.
Feel their presence.
Warm,
Steady,
Kind.
Let yourself receive that support.
Let yourself feel accompanied.
Let yourself rest in the presence of compassion.
Stay here a while longer.
Allow this moment to stretch and deepen.
Continue breathing.
Continue feeling.
Continue welcoming.
If new sensations arise,
Greet them.
If old memories surface,
Witness them.
If stillness lingers,
Rest in it.
Now slowly bring your attention back to the body as a whole.
Sense the breath moving through you.
Feel the aliveness of your hands,
Your face.
Bring your awareness to your heart center,
The space behind your breastbone.
Take a few breaths here.
Imagine your breath gently fanning the heart,
Creating openness.
Spaciousness.
Visualize this heart space glowing with a soft light,
Perhaps golden or rose-colored,
Or whatever feels right for you.
Let this light surround the discomfort,
Cradle it,
And hold it tenderly.
And now from this heart space,
Offer loving kindness to yourself,
And silently repeat,
May I be kind to myself.
May I hold my discomfort with compassion.
May I trust the wisdom of my own heart.
May I find the strength to stay with what is real.
Let each phrase land like a balm,
Soothing,
Reassuring,
Empowering.
Feel the breath.
Feel the body.
Feel the presence of love within you.
Take a few more deep breaths now,
Long and slow,
Full and kind.
Begin to bring movement back into your body.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Stretch if it feels good.
Let yourself return at your own pace.
Feel the ground beneath you.
Feel the support around you.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes or lift your gaze,
Take a moment to simply be here.
Notice how you feel.
Notice what has changed,
What remains.
And silently thank yourself for your courage to welcome,
Even what is uncomfortable.
You have practiced something deeply powerful today.
Carry that strength with you.
Carry that gentleness.
And remember you can return to this space any time you need to.
You are always allowed to be with yourself,
Just as you are.
Thank you for being here.
