This is Pam with Yoga Inspired Lifestyle.
Thank you for listening to the daily meditation.
So find a place that you can sit comfortably on the floor,
Maybe on a yoga block if you have one,
Or even in a chair,
Sitting up tall,
Letting the shoulders be in line with the hips.
Take this moment and first notice what your normal breath is doing.
Notice how the lungs are expanding and contracting.
Bring awareness to other parts of your body and how they react with each breath.
Let's start to make the breath go a little deeper and a little longer.
As you inhale in through the nose,
Let the belly expand,
Let the diaphragm expand,
And then fill the lungs with air.
Exhale back out,
Pushing the air up through the belly,
Past the diaphragm and out the lungs.
Take in a nice deep inhale.
Exhale.
On your next inhale,
Think of thoughts of peace and joy as they come into your body.
As you exhale,
Exhale out anything that challenges you today.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
For our gratitude meditation today,
On your next inhale,
Think of one person,
Place or thing that you are very happy to have in your life.
As you exhale,
Send out thoughts of gratitude in that direction.
On your next inhale,
Think of a second person,
Place or thing that you are happy to have in your life.
As you exhale,
Send out thoughts of gratitude.
Taking inhale,
Finding a third piece of gratitude.
And exhale out,
Release that gratitude to the universe.
Continue with these thoughts of gratitude for seven more breaths.
Five more breaths.
Three more breaths and thoughts of gratitude.
As you're finishing your final thought of gratitude,
Take a moment,
Scan through your body,
See how the body feels after sending out thoughts of gratitude.
Take this next moment to give yourself a thought of gratitude,
Thanking yourself for taking these five minutes to calm your body,
To calm your mind,
And to give yourself a little peace in the middle of a busy day and a busy world.
Bring your hands to heart center.
Take in an inhale,
Bring the thumb knuckles up to the middle of your forehead.
Exhale,
Have a beautiful,
Grateful day.
Thank you for listening to our meditation today.
Please feel free to use this meditation multiple times a day today if you need some additional peace in your life.
