This video introduces a simple meditation practice for beginners using the words “I AM” as a gentle anchor for the mind. Each day, we may wake up with thoughts about the past, worries about the future, unfinished conversations, or emotions that pull us away from the present moment. Through the I AM technique, the mind is invited to return to one clear point of awareness. Using the image of a blue sky and a movie theater, the video explains how thoughts can appear like scenes or chapters in a film. Some chapters may bring worry, fear, memory, or inner noise, and when we identify with them, we begin to feel as if we are inside the movie. The I AM helps create space between awareness and thought, allowing us to remember that we are the observer rather than the passing story. This gentle practice supports presence, calm, and inner steadiness. By returning to I AM throughout the day, we can begin to feel more grounded, more aware, and more connected to the quiet presence within.

Meditation for Beginners,

The IAM technique.

Every day we wake up and the mind begins to move.

Thoughts about the future,

The past,

What we said,

What we didn't say.

What may happen next?

Sometimes it feels like the mind is running by itself.

And when we follow everyday thoughts,

The body begins to feel that pressure.

We become tense,

Distracted.

And far away from the present moment.

The AYAM technique is very simple.

It gives the mind one clear place to rest.

Instead of fighting your thoughts,

You gently return to the words.

I am.

I M brings you back to the awareness behind the thoughts.

Like looking at the white blue sky.

You begin to see that thoughts are only passing through.

They appear.

They move,

And then they dissolve.

Imagine you are sitting in a movie theater.

On the screen,

Different scenes begin to appear.

One scene may be a worry about the future.

Another scene may be something from the past.

Another may be a conversation you keep repeating in your mind.

Each thought is like a character of the movie.

It appears with the images,

Emotions and story.

And when we forget we're watching that movie,

That we are the observer,

We feel as if the worry is who we are.

We feel as if the memory is happening again.

We completely identify with the character of the movie and we suffer again.

The IAM helps you to remember that you are sitting in the theater.

You are the one watching the movie of the mind.

The unwanted thoughts may still appear on the screen,

But you don't identify with them.

You don't become the character inside them.

You can gently return to the AYEN and feel the space between your thoughts.

The movie continues,

But you are no longer lost inside every character.

You are the awareness watching it all pass.

This does not force thoughts to disappear.

It simply gives you a little space from them.

And inside that space,

The body can breathe.

The mind can settle.

And the moment becomes clear.

Living the present.

Try during your day,

Whenever you feel overwhelmed.

You can gently return to the IM.

While walking,

While sitting,

While working while meditating.

These two words can bring you back to yourself.

I am.

Here,

Aware,

And present.

I will leave you a little bit of slow piano so you try the IEM technique for like 5-6 minutes.

And thank you.
