Are you an emotional eater? Do you reach out for food in order to make yourself feel better even though you're not hungry? Eating has a soothing effect on our system, however overeating can cause anxiety, shame and guilt. This self-soothing mechanism can lead you into a destructive cycle of | stress-> eat -> stress (reaction from overeating) -> eat |.
