Find somewhere cozy or comfortable to settle.
It could be seated or lying down.
Take a deep breath in and as you breathe out soften your gaze.
Look up towards your forehead and while continuing to look up gently close down your eyes.
Take a breath in feel your body expand and take a long slow breath out feeling your body release.
And again breathe in expand and a long slow breath out to release.
Soften your eyes letting the muscles around your eyes relax so deeply your eyelids might feel heavy going deeper into your mind.
Soften your forehead.
Soften your jaw.
Soften your shoulders.
This is your time.
Time to reflect and dream.
No need to impress or rush to do it all now.
You may be someone who pictures and visualizes things or maybe you just feel or sense things or perhaps you just have a sense of knowing instead.
There's no wrong way to do it.
You might notice that you get caught up in your conscious thoughts but know that you are listening with your subconscious mind while your conscious mind is far away not listening.
Your conscious mind is unconscious of the fact that your conscious mind is not here and not listening.
Your subconscious mind doesn't mind that your conscious mind has let go.
Just let happen what will happen whatever comes naturally.
Welcoming in a deep relaxation.
Picture your body floating.
It might be floating in water,
In space,
On the soft surface of a cloud or the earth.
As you float you let your whole body release.
Feelings supported from all sides.
As you float you're being carried to a peaceful place somewhere you find so cozy and relaxing.
It might be somewhere you've been before maybe on holiday or somewhere entirely new.
It might be in nature,
In the forest,
At a beach,
In a field or by a stream or it might be in your home or a dream home.
Take a moment to find that space and notice how your nervous system fully lets go when you settle in.
Is there Sun filtering into your space?
What time of day is it?
Is it warm or is there a cool breeze?
What colors do you notice?
What sounds?
Allow the sights and sounds of nature to ease your mind and deepen your relaxation.
In your peaceful space you notice a spot that is the perfect place to reflect on your relationship with food,
Body and movement.
To reflect on the year that was and set intentions for the year that will be.
The spot might be under a tree,
Floating in warm water,
On a comfortable cushion or bed.
It's surrounded with reflective open energy.
Take a moment to settle into that space now.
Begin to reflect on your year in relation to food,
Movement and your body.
While there is part of you that is feeling at peace and deeply relaxed you might notice a part of you that feels activated,
Disappointed,
Worried or stressed.
Invite that part of you forward.
What didn't go as you had hoped?
Is it how you nourished yourself?
Your relationship with food?
Do you want less guilt,
More freedom?
Is it how you showed up for your body?
How you spoke to it?
Felt disconnected from it or didn't listen to it?
Moved it or didn't move it?
Experienced guilt around exercise?
Or maybe you want more peace?
If it had a feeling,
What feeling would it be?
It might be your disappointed part,
Frustrated part,
Anxious part,
Sad part or any other feeling that feels true.
What do you think this experience,
This part of you is here to teach you?
How is it here to guide you?
What does this part want for you?
Often it might be safety,
Protection from negative emotions,
Connection,
Love,
Belonging,
Authenticity.
What is its intention for you?
What does this part need from you?
For example it might need rest,
Reassurance,
Unconditional love,
To feel heard,
Setting a boundary or another action.
If you can take a moment to give the part what it needs now.
Thank this part for supporting you to reflect,
For sharing its wisdom,
For helping you to grow.
Provide reassurance to that part of you that you will come back to it again.
And for now take a deep breath in and as you exhale feel this part step back and allow more space.
Reflect on what went well in relation to your food,
Body and movement over the past year.

Where did you grow?
What words or characteristics come to mind?
Is it more self-compassion,
Kindness,

Acceptance,

Notice where you feel it in the body and sink in to that feeling.
Take a moment to offer appreciation for yourself for creating a new reality.
Even if it's hard to connect with an experience of something you're proud of,
See if you can take an open or compassionate stance towards yourself regardless.

They want to show you what your most authentic relationship with food,
Your body and movement looks like.
It might be a year from now,
Five years or even ten years from now.
Let them show you how life looks in relation to those things.
As well as the beautiful qualities of your integrated self,
You also notice the beautiful qualities of how food,
Movement and your body bring joy and energy into your life.
You might notice how you show up when you feel accepting of your body,
The playfulness you experience in moving your body,
The fun in socializing around food and nourishing yourself from a place of self-care.
Your future self has a message for you about the year ahead.
They might hand you a piece of paper,
You might hear it or it might just be a sense of knowing.
Ask your future self what message it has for you.
Back in the darkness,
You see a ball of light forming between you and your future self in a color that represents harmony and integration.
The light grows and grows and begins to encompass both of you and within that ball of light you and your future self merge together,
Integrating.
See or feel this now.
Set your intention for the year ahead.
Bring to mind the qualities or energy you want to carry forward.
Bring to mind the message you received.
Carry this integrated sense of self with you,
Knowing you can access this guidance at any time.
For now,
As I count from one to five,
You'll begin to re-alert back into the present moment and by the time I get to five,
You'll open your eyes and be completely re-alert,
Feeling relaxed and empowered.
