Welcome,
I'm so glad that you're here.
Glad that you've decided to join me for a meditation today.
There was a time in my life when racing thoughts seemingly controlled my life.
And there was a time in my life where fear-based thought patterns were seemingly all my brain was capable of forming.
There is no doubt that it's an uncomfortable place to be.
If you're dealing with this,
Please know that you are not alone.
This is a common human experience and please know that we are all connected on a spiritual level.
And we can help each other heal by just feeling compassion for our fellow humans.
Take a moment to sit with the idea that there are humans all over the planet who are in the same or similar situation.
Dealing with racing,
Possibly uncomfortable thoughts,
Possibly intrusive thoughts.
And feeling like their brains are too busy and too cluttered.
Just take a moment to think of all the beating hearts across the lands that can empathize with your situation.
And let's take a moment to send love and compassion to each other.
Out into the universe,
We send our love to each other now.
We see you,
We feel you,
We understand you,
And we love you.
Now let's sit with the fact that you are a self-healer.
And you can heal any aspect of your energy that no longer serves you,
Including calming the nervous system and the mind.
Are you aware that you are a self-healer?
Do you believe in the power of you?
Do you know that with patient and gentle perseverance,
You can create a peaceful mind?
Let's get started today by finding any comfortable position in any location that you'd like.
My only request is that your spine is mostly straight and that you surround yourself with whatever you need to aid you on your journey.
To feel as comfortable as possible,
So maybe grab a pillow or a blanket.
Maybe grab a comfortable pair of socks.
Maybe turn the lights down.
I'll give you a few moments to find the most comfortable position.
And if you're already there,
Just start to pay attention to the breath.
And just begin to ever so slightly slow the breathing down,
Giving the body permission to slightly lengthen the inhales and lengthen the exhales.
We're sending cues to our nervous system that it's safe to let go for a while.
And if you're feeling anxious,
Overwhelmed,
Exhausted,
You may already have little thoughts poking through,
Trying to get your attention.
And that's okay.
That's all part of the process.
Just come back to your breath and back to my voice when you're ready.
Next,
I want you to just simply listen to the following mantra with an open heart.
I allow my energetic body to release what no longer serves me.
I allow my energetic body to release what no longer serves me.
I allow my energetic body to release what no longer serves me.
Now take a nice deep inhale,
Breathing in our mantra.
And on your exhale,
Releasing a bit more of what no longer serves you.
And allowing your breathing to return to any rhythm it wants to.
I want you to bring your attention to the crown of your head,
The very top of your head.
And in your mind's eye,
I want you to visualize the top of your head as the top of an unopened can,
The type of can that requires a can opener.
The rim of your head as the top of a can,
An unopened can.
Thoughts swirling inside the can,
Inside of your head.
Thoughts that we can let go but are seemingly trapped under the pressure of the can.
Let's relieve this pressure by creating space in the energy centers above the crown of our head.
Visualize taking a can opener to the rim of your head and starting the process of opening the can,
Opening the crown.
Taking the can opener,
Squeezing down and twisting and twisting and twisting and twisting until you get all the way around.
The top of the can pops open,
Relieving the built up pressure and built up energy and the built up buzzing thoughts in your head.
Allowing these thoughts and these busy energies to float up and out of the crown of your head,
Floating up and up and into the ether where Mother Earth will absorb them for you.
Absorbing the energies that no longer serve you.
Absorbing the thought patterns that no longer serve you.
The racing thoughts that no longer serve you.
Mother Earth knows what to do with these energies.
She knows best so give them all to her directly up and out through the crown of the head.
Relieving built up pressure that's been there for a while.
Seeing the thoughts that no longer serve you popping up into your head and you're just letting them go up and away.
Just let them go.
Just let them go.
Just let them go.
Just let them go.
And if you get lost,
Just come back to your breath and then let them go.
Let them go.
Let them go.
Up and out of the crown of your head,
Watch those thoughts go further and further and further away.
Just let them go.
Just let them go.
And remember anytime you are in a position where you feel overwhelmed by your thoughts,
Visualize your magic can opener in your mind's eye.
Releasing all of the pressure by opening the top of your head,
The crown of your head.
So those thoughts can float up and up and away.
Gently unburdening your soul from these thoughts and from these energies.
Now through your nose,
Take a full deep inhale,
Filling your lungs,
Feeling the lungs expand,
Filling the belly.
And with an open mouth,
Let all of the breath go.
Let all of it go.
And letting your breath return to any rhythm that it wants to.
Knowing you are safe and in a healing space.
Just breathe,
Letting go and staying here as long as you'd like.
Meditation is the kindest and most healing gift that you could give yourself.
