Welcome to this meditation for relaxing the mind.
Please find a comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
Get into a nice cozy position.
And take a nice deep breath in to center yourself for this session.
Then when you breathe out,
Please close your eyes to enhance your experience.
Breathing again,
In and out.
Follow along with a couple of breaths.
And then begin to imagine the room around you without opening your eyes.
Remembering where the door was.
Or you may be outside.
See the plants around you.
Is this the surface that you lay upon?
Is it your bed or a chair?
With your memory,
Look around.
You know exactly where you are without having to open your eyes.
Now begin to imagine that a gentle rain is coming down.
It's a warm day and the rain is nice.
You can hear it outside your window.
The clouds cover the sun in a delightful way.
An afternoon rain.
And then the rain comes to a stop and the sun peeks out.
And with your mind,
Imagine you get up from where you lay and you head outside.
When you step outside the door,
You are not where you think you are.
But you are standing in front of the beautiful Niagara Falls.
The mist is coming off of the falls and you can see all the trees surrounding.
You can hear the powerful sound of water.
You can feel the moisture on your skin of the falls.
It is a beautiful day at the great Niagara Falls within your mind.
Now imagine that you see a pathway going through the woods nearby.
Go down this pathway and notice as you walk through the trees,
They dampen the sounds of the falls behind you.
As you walk through the trees,
You can barely hear the falls any longer.
You notice under your feet the ground is soft and alive.
Things are growing in every direction.
Small moss along the ground.
Small leaves as far as the eye can see.
As you make your way through the woods,
Your eye catches a giant tree.
You turn and see that it is a tall cedar.
It soars high into the sky and is taller than any tree in the forest.
Walk up to this beautiful cedar tree and place your hand on its bark.
Its bark is soft and in places it peels away from the tree.
You can easily pull off a little thread of bark.
Hold it in your hand and notice its rosy color.
Bring this piece of bark to your nose and breathe in deeply the fragrance of cedar.
This tree holds a special energy that you can feel.
It's almost as if it has a wisdom unlike any other.
You look up high into its branches and you feel amazed by its beauty.
Go round the tree now.
As you round the tree,
You find a small door with a golden handle.
Place your hand on this handle.
Open the door.
It is light on the other side.
This is the door of ultimate relaxation.
And when you step through,
You are going to feel more relaxed than you have in a very long time.
So step through this little doorway into the peaceful light.
On the other side of the doorway,
You find that it led you to a beautiful blue lagoon surrounded by palm trees.
Breathe in the salty air and see the beautiful blue waters in front of you.
As you're walking through this beautiful blue lagoon,
You see a hammock tied in between two palm trees.
It is the perfect place to relax.
So get in the hammock and lie back and look up into the sky.
White fluffy clouds are drifting by.
You are so relaxed.
You deserve this mental vacation.
You can feel the breeze gently swinging your hammock back and forth.
The temperature is perfect.
You can hear the beautiful sounds of seabirds nearby,
Flying overhead.
Simply allow for your relaxation to double.
Yes.
Just let your relaxation double.
Feeling nice and cozy as you remember that you are just laying in your room.
Become aware of your body now in the present moment.
Open your eyes,
Noticing your surroundings.
Feeling very relaxed from this session.
